The snarky board sucks.  All the snarky people left, and now it's a bunch of children.

But, I don't think this board is all that snarky.  I find it to be one of the nicest boards here.

I honestly think the "snarkiest" board is the Etiquette board ... I suppose that's ironic, lol.

But MNIN is right, Snarky used to be chock full of snark, now it's a free-for-all between other board regs trying to retain it's honor, and beebees that think "snarky" means "I'm going to whine about me, and if you don't agree with me, you're just a b!tch".

Oh wait. That's every board.

Ditto meg on everything.

It's more straightforward and snarky than some boards, but that's because it's not a club board where validation is handed out excessively or like some national boards where there aren't very many regs and most topics aren't too controversial.

I didn't mean to offend, because I'm glad that somebody thinks we talk sense and amuse at the same time ... but considering what's been turning up on the Snarky Board lately, it's kind of hard for that board to be considered "Snarky" compared to just about any other board, lol.

 ... I think they should just change the name to "The Waaaaa Board", and be done with it.

Ditto, xoxo. I too do not like the snarky board. I don't find this one snarky, although it does get that way on certain threads. I find us more blunt.

I think we've had a lot more heated discussions recently.  It's also wedding season which can mean more activity and people get fired up. 

With more activity comes more heat - and more blunt honesty.  :-)

I think a lot of it comes from the multitude of "can I demote my MOH".  "can I kick out my WP"  "what do I buy for BM" etc. that seem to be coming up numerous times a day and no one seems to bother to scroll down and read the previous responses because "oh, but my story is different because..."

We get tired of the nonsense, so to entertain ourselves, we add a little sass

Ditto Meg... How can you be snark-free with all the "HOw to demote?", "My BM got preggers so what now?", and "WP vent...because i'm a selfish brat."

I used to toggle between WP and the sanrk board but now this is my home. The snarky board got boring.
