I'm not really sure how to take this... My MOH and I have been friends for 23 years. We've gotten together several times a week since we were 13 years old. We've both been there through our 1st marriages, children, divorce, and numerous other things, together. She and I weren't in each others 1st weddings,(because our parents made other choices for us) so when she got engaged 3 years ago, she decided that this time we stand up with each other. She insisted upon being my honor attendant from the time SHE got engaged... a year before I even HAD anyone in my life. Well, now I've been planning for 16 months. The wedding is 2 months away. This whole time she has been making comments that I first thought were joking about wearing a dress and girly shoes. She keeps brushing me off when I ask her to go shopping or to lunch or whatever other activity we used to do together. I finally realized that her comments might be serious remarks trying to tell me she was uncomfortable about wearing anything other than jeans and a t-shirt, so I told her, if it made her uncomfortable or if she just didn't want to do it, I wouldn't be mad... I'd rather have my best friend happy and comfortable and still at the wedding than absolutely miserable. She hasn't spoken to me since. I'm confused about her behavior because it's totally not like her. I didn't kick her out of the wedding party... I made that absolutely clear to her. I WANT her to be my honor attendant. I'm completely baffled......
