Wedding Party

Bridesmaid's gifts

Has anyone purchased bridesmaids' gifts from the Knot?  I'm wondering how the measure up next to Things Remembered.  Thanks!

Re: Bridesmaid's gifts

  • I have no idea how they hold up, but they look cheap to me.  If you haven't yet, shop for each girl like it is her birthday.  The gifts don't have to match and this way you know that they will enjoy the gift.

Also, jewelry for your wedding is a gift for you, not them.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • No, I didn't think my girls would appreciate cheap monogrammed stuff.  I haven't bothered with anything from the Knot store, it all looks cheap and really overpriced.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I am giving my friends handmade purses from Thailand, witch balls, lotions/spray.  Just think of something that they would personally appreciate and remember.  Witch balls are really beautiful...google them! It's something pretty to hang in front of a window...I always get compliments on mine.
