Wedding Party

Wedding Party Gifts

The majority of our wedding party is traveling across the country to be in our wedding.  Since they are paying for flights, hotel rooms, rental cars, etc., my fiance and I have chosen to pay for the bridesmaid's dresses and the groomsmen's suits (rental).  Do we still need to buy gifts, or is this sufficient?

Thanks!
Happily married since September 2010. :)

  • You should DEFINITELY give them a gift on top of the attire. The attire may very well go straight to goodwill after your wedding. You should get them all something that is personal to them that they can use or want. And don't buy them all the same thing.

  • Yes, they should still get a gift. Preferably something easily transportable since they're travelling in. GIft cards are great for this or have it shipped to their home and give them a Thank You card at the RD with a photo of what the gift being shipped is.
