Am I paranoid? Annoyed and venting...

Ok, so I know I'm a very busy, person, but I will try to get back to people in time, my onepass miles will prove I have been a very busy person.I hired a photog a few months back and at first she answered all emails concerning the contract and when we sent in our deposit etc.  Well, we had to push our times back for the ceremony due to the church changing schedules etc.  I emailed her and asked her if this would interfere with the contract or her schedule.  I waited 2 weeks and did not have a reply from her.  I emailed her again, just to make sure she received my email and she had a quick reply of "I'll have to read the contract."  It has been 3 more weeks and I still have not heard from her.  Our wedding is 11 months away, should I give her more time or should I be worried and start looking for a new photog.  So far it seems that nothing is running smoothly for our wedding.  BTW: I'm trying to do as much planning as I can, because I live in Houston and have little time to travel to SA.

Forgot to mention that I also asked about bridal pics and b-pics and she still has not responded.  You would think she would want the extra business??

I would give her time to respond, only because you still have a ways before your wedding. STILL, that is being EXTREMELY unprofessional on her behalf. Most vendors are fairly quick to respond to their client's needs [especially when inquiring about more business]. If she hasn't answered your emails or phone calls, is there anyway you could send a family member to pester her at her office and make sure things are in order? If that doesn't work, you should threaten her with a lawyer-and perhaps that would get her to respond more quickly. If that doesn't work, I would say go ahead and start shopping around for a new photography. I know it's all in our nature to immediately worry when a vendor isn't fast with a response, but perhaps she's been super busy? Regardless, it was rude to simply state that the contract needed to be checked-she's in charge! She should know what the contract says! I'm aggravated for you, but I hope my input has helped some :(
