Maid and Matron of Honor - Who do they walk with?

I'm planning on having a Maid of Honor (best friend) and Matron of Honor (my sister). 

Do Matrons of Honor have to walk down the aisle with her husband?  Or can they be escorted by another groomsmen?

Unless her husband is the BM, she doesn't generally walk with him.

DH was a BM in his brother's wedding and I was a BM.  I didn't walk with DH at the wedding or into the reception but we sat together and that  was perfect.

The Best Man can escort both.

Or you can do what you want, no real rules. If their husbands are in the wedding party as well, they can walk with them. If the husbands are not groomsmen, then you don't need to add them in the processional.

If you insist on doing a bridal party dance (which seems to have gone out of style anyway, since it's awkward to participate in and boring to watch), you could let everyone dance with their significant other.

I've been wondering this as well, because I have both a Maid (my FSIL) and Matron (my daughter's stepmom).  I simply figured that one could walk with the BM and the other can walk with one of the other GM...but that's still a while off for me so we'll figure it out

I'm sure that whatever you decide, your BP will be lovely

There are no clear cut rules to this, but...
If the husband isn't in the bridal party, then he shouldn't have to be walking down the aisle.
They can be escorted by a groomsmen or the best man... or, hell, the Matron of honor and maid of honor can escort each other, lol.
As maid of honor I walked down with the ring bearer on one side and the flower girl on the other side, lol. It was so adorable and I was grateful because I'm so shy and everyone was too busy looking at the cute kids, instead of me.
