Re: WPBP of the day

• Where was your first kiss? At my first boyfriend's house after the junior prom.

How old were you? 16

When were you allowed to start dating? Technically my father tried the "no dating until you're 18" thing...but the rule was amended when I was 16.  The guy in question couldn't be older than 18, and I couldn't ride in the car if he drove (broke that rule a few times).

Did you ever sneak out of the house? Never had to.  Never would have made it, either.  My parents have ears like bats.

• Where was your first kiss?In the alley behind my school. Me and my then boyfriend were super nervous and we had our last class of the day together (band) so I always popped tic tacs right before the bell, and it would never happen. He'd have to catch the bus and I had to be picked up by my mom (who didn't allow me to date)
How old were you?13! 8th grade!
When were you allowed to start dating? Not till I was 16! And even when I WAS allowed to date, my dad still did not approve. My mom told me that he complained when a guy FRIEND was watching the Shawshank Redemption with me and I had my leg on top of his....uh, dad? It's not exactly a romantic comedy!
Did you ever sneak out of the house? Yes! I wanted to date a senior when I was a freshman so I snuck out. I live a mile out of town so I had to walk in the dark in the middle of the country in a mini skirt to find this guy because he couldn't find my house. I am so glad that nothing ever happened to me. Looking at it now, I could have gotten into some serious shiit!

• Where was your first kiss?  In my parent's kitchen!

How old were you?  I was 13.

When were you allowed to start dating?  Age 13. (Too young now, in my opinion as I look back in hindsight as a 31 yr old woman. If FI and I have a daughter, she will not be dating until she's at least 21! lol)

Did you ever sneak out of the house?  Of course!

• CT, I am fearful if we have a daughter that she's going to be as naughty as myself and defy parents' rules.

• Where was your first kiss? The kitchen of the church multi-purpose room. Our youth group was setting up for some event, and we found a quiet corner for our first kiss!

How old were you? 14

When were you allowed to start dating? 14...it was never a discussion, but my first BF (the guy who was my first kiss) was someone I'd known since I was 9, we went to church together, and our families knew each other. He's still one of my good friends. I don't know if the rules would have changed if it had been someone my parents didn't know.

Did you ever sneak out of the house? Nope, I was way too much of a goody-goody for that. And it would have failed anyway, my dad hears everything.
• Stina - I like these new questions a lot! :)

Where was your first kiss? The kissing tower at Hershey Park.

How old were you? 12... eek.

When were you allowed to start dating? My parents never really set an age.

Did you ever sneak out of the house? No - I was a squeaky clean teenager.

Where was your first kiss?
top bunk in my bff's room. And it was one of my very best guy friends. SO weird.
How old were you?
17 I think
EDIT: I must have been 16 now that I think about it.. but I don't really remember. And I think that was my first.. first one I remember.
When were you allowed to start dating?
I didn't really date. We always went out in groups, but that would be 15 when I got my license. Also the guy from Q1 was 3 years older and my mother trusted him implicity ( I have no idea why..he corrupted me the most) so she let me go anywhere with him and believed any excuse he had for why we were late getting home. At 16 she actually encouraged me to go on an overnight trip with him and his friends so I could be the designated driver. If she only knew.... Reminds me I need to call him...

Did you ever sneak out of the house?
No. We lived on a gravel road out in the country and my dad and uncle are really light sleepers. I would have had to walk down to the main road to get picked up, and I was not doing that in the dark! I did sleepwalk once when I was little and my mom almost shot me because she thought I was an intruder (stumbling around on the front porch at 2am)

• Where was your first kiss? Outside a friends house
How old were you? 13
When were you allowed to start dating? I was 15 when I went out on my first date but my parents didn't know.  They let me start dating a few months later when I turned 16.
Did you ever sneak out of the house? Oh yeah, that.  I tried but I wasn't very successful.  My parents totally caught me and that was that.

• Where was your first kiss? The movies.  "Varsity Blues" to be exact.
How old were you? 14 or 15.  It was either the end of my freshman year or the start of my sophomore year.
When were you allowed to start dating? 15 or 16.  I can't remember exactly when.
Did you ever sneak out of the house? No.  I was the good girl.

• Oh Babling, your first kiss is funny....Varsity Blues. I remember everyone in school wanting to see that movie and I couldn't because it was rated R.

• Where was your first kiss? At my Jr. Prom, and oh my, there's a story behind it: I was actually really p!ssed about it, because I went alone, and the guy who did it was my friend's ex-boyfriend (Who was a college man, btw), who went with her "as friends". At the time, I was very shy around boys and was hoping that my first kiss would be a guy that I really liked (And then you know, have it develope into a fairy tale romance, lol). Well, my friend had spent most of the night avoiding her date (Like everytime somebody had to go to the bathroom, she couldn't jump up fast enough to join them), so I felt bad for the guy and just started making small talk, since he didn't know anybody there. I never gave him any indication that I "liked" him,  but he kept telling me how "cool and mature" I was ... and then for some reason he just went for it. I was so caught off gaurd (And kind of upset) that the only thing I could think of saying was "Well, that sucked!"-and it did. Instead of being offended by this, he was like "Omg, you're even cooler than I thought, no other girl I know would be so blatantly honest with me!". It wasn't me "being cool", that's just my personality, I apparently have no conversational skills when I'm caught off gaurd. Of course after he mouth raped me, I found out my friend was planning on asking him to get back together and she kept dissappearing because she was trying to work up her nerve to do it. She didn't talk to me for almost a year after that ... can't say I blame her ... but at the same time, I really wanted nothing to do with the guy.

How old were you? 16 (He was 20. Oooh, older man).

When were you allowed to start dating? My parents "said" 16. Unfortunately, when 1 guy tried asking me out my freshmen year and I told him this, I got blacklisted as a "prude", and after that the only guys that asked me out until college were in Special Ed (They liked me because I "was such a nice girl")-I'm not trying to be mean, that's just really how that went down.

Did you ever sneak out of the house?  Not really ... when I was dating my ex (I was already 18 when we first met), once it started getting ugly I would lie about where I was going (They didn't want me seeing him and I was too busy being stupid to listen). Pretty much since the age of 9, though, my house has had at least 4 dogs, and all of them would go nuts whenever a door was opened, so there was no way I could ever "sneak" and not get busted.

• Where was your first kiss?  Outside a movie theatre.  I don't remember what we saw.

How old were you?  16

When were you allowed to start dating?  My parents didn't set an age.  It wasn't really an issue because I had one boyfriend for two months in high school (aforementioned first kiss) and that was it.

Did you ever sneak out of the house?  Once, but it wasn't for a date.  My brother called me up and wanted to take me to go see the midnight showing of Matrix Reloaded.  I listed off all the reasons I couldn't do it: Mom was pissed at me for some reason, I had just gotten out of the shower, I hadn't started my homework yet, blah blah blah.  He listened patiently and said, "Okay, I'll be there in 15 minutes."  The movie was lame, but we had fun.  I don't think my mom ever found out about it.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
• First Kiss? My first boyfriend's jeep after he drove me home from school.
Age? 15/16
Allowed to date? 16, almost 17
Sneak out? Um yeah and my mom still never found out. My friends would go camping in the mountains and I would go visit for a little bit. I still don't know how my mom never smelled the camp fire on my clothes.

• DH and I both keep saying if we have kids, we want boys ... mainly because I'm too scared to raise a girl ... and because DH is a total sucker, so she'd be a Daddy's Girl and I'd be stuck being the "bad parent".

Then again, DH maintains he'll spoil her until she mentiones dating. Then we're apparently shipping her off to a convent, lol.

• We're petrified because both DH and I were "the Good Kid" growing up ... both his and my older sisters were absolute nightmares, and for the most part their kids are pretty good, so we're convinced we're getting "the kids from hell".

• Where was your first kiss? Up the street from my house the day this guy who asked me out walked me home. Sounds sweet but one of my friend's was there.

How old were you? 13. What a terrible time in my life.

When were you allowed to start dating? I don't think my parents ever had a rule for me. I really didn't date much. Most of my friends were guys so I'm sure other guys would assume I was with one of them.

Did you ever sneak out of the house? My brother and I would go late at night to get food. Other than that, my parents knew all of my friends and loved them all so they didn't care when I'd come back from being out. Plus we usually were at the same places.

Night swimming in the ocean= pretty sweet reception!
• I have to say that I am glad that some newbs are starting to partake in the poll. No better way to aquaint yourselves than chatting it up.

Meg, my cousin's little girl is going to be a heartbreaker. She's half white, half filipino and she was my fg. (I think I have a pic of her in one of my bios) Not really that important....anyway, she already flirts like I did....they call her "mini Stina" and she's a princess. She's well behaved, but I know she's probably going to be curvy because it runs in our family, complete with huge breasts. My cousin is already sweating in his sleep over this and he's only 4 years old.

• I like the one about mom almost shooting her, good stuff! I grew up in the country with rifles and woods so I can relate to that  :)

1st kiss: Age 11, CHURCH CAMP in the laundry room on top of a dryer. I kid you not. Oh the irony.

Dating: Started at 13 or 14, apparently pretty young but on par with age of 1st kiss.

Sneaking out of house: Luckily no father around so I would head out to the bars on school nights and my mom, god bless her, would take photos of my friends and I on our way out. I always managed to make it to class the next day though and didn't need to study that much. Oh the high school years. So fun. Makes me want to lock any future daughter in her room until she's 18 though. I mean, really.
Where was your first kiss?
It was in the park right next to my high school (with my FI actually...don't judge...I just know how to pick 'em!)
When were you allowed to start dating?
Uh, I just kind of told my Dad that I was going out with now FI (like an hour before he showed up to pick me up, lol). It was actually kind of ridiculous though, because my Dad was watching a documentary about railroads when my FI got to my house to pick me  up for our first date. Well, both my Dad and FI are OBSESSED with model railroading, so my Dad and my first date sat talking about trains for like 20 minutes before we left. My Dad was already joking about how he just met his future SIL. They still do model railroad stuff together and go to model railroad shows and stuff. I mean, it's nice they can "bond" or whatever...but it's a little ridic.
Did you ever sneak out of the house?
Nope, I was a good girl as well. Plusalso, I don't think my parents would have really cared if I went out or if I would be home late (specifically because I was such a "good girl").
