TIffany Blue Weddng HELP

Ladies I need some help, my bridesmaids are wearing a black strapless dress with a Tiffany Blue sash. Here is my question, what color would you use as flowers? Some people have suggested Pink, Deep Red, and Orange. I have also been suggested white, but I want to be the only person carring white flowers. So please I am open to all suggestions I am just really stressing over this.

Re: TIffany Blue Weddng HELP

  • What flowers are you already using?  What's the vibe of your wedding?  Pink flowers would give sort of a fun and summer look, while red would be more dramatic and elegant.  I think green and/or blue hydrangea would look really nice.

What does your florist think?  A professional should be able to give you the best advice on this.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • First off, we are getting married on October 30th, so if possible I want to stay away from the Halloweenish look. We haven't talked to a florist yet because we live in DC and are getting married in Michigan (our home town). So that is why I am kind of asking around for advice. I have also not picked out what type of flowers I will be using.
  • I think if you're using white flowers then a pop of color in a pink or even red could be great.

OR, go for the opposite.  Be the only one who carries a bouquet in a bright pink while the rest of the BMs carry white.  The stark contrast could be lovely.
  • I would say pops of yellow, peach, and orange in the boquets and arrangements of the same colors mixed with white would look really pretty.

I am getting married a couple weeks before you and my girls will be in black dresses with an ivory accent. They will all be carrying white flowers (lillies, I think) and I will be carrying romance roses ( peach flowers with a crimson tip). You could do something like that if you like the idea pp suggested of them carrying white and you carrying the colored boquet to pop against your white (I'm assuming here) dress.

I"m originally from Michigan and now live in the DC area too - whoo hoo!

I was thinking about black/teal/deep red before.  i really like the look.  so my vote is dark red flowers.
  • I would vote Deep red! But rely on some advice from your florist based on colors and the time of year....or maybe look through photos that the florist has or the photographer to get an idea! Good luck!
