MOH, NO BM?

We're having our daughter as flower girl and my best friend as MOH, when I asked my FI about me having MOH he was all for it. But now FI asked me if he should have a BM. I said it was up to him. He thinks it would look weird and now he feels oblligated to have a BM. I've heard "it's your wedding do whatever you guys want" but will it look odd? Or will I look "selfish" ? What's your opinion?

It definitely won't look odd and certainly not selfish. Your FI isn't obligated to have a BM and should only choose who he truly wants up there, not just someone to make the sides even.

Your WP should only consist of those nearest and dearest to you.  If your FI does not have anyone to whom he feels close enough to stand up with him then he doesn't have to have anyone there.  It won't make you look selfish.

Of course not, there is nothing selfish about having a MOH.  Uneven sides are not wrong, a few of your guests might wonder why he doesn't have anyone on his side.  It certainly doesn't affect anyone though, so don't sweat it. 

Does he have any close friends?

Never choose a wedding party just to fill spots!  If he doesn't have/want anyone, he doesn't have to have anyone.

He does have 2 brothers, so I think he thinks he'd have to choose 1...relieved that it's not an etiquette issue to not have even sides. Thanks much!

If he doesn't want a BM, he shouldn't have one. But if he wants both of his brothers and is holding back because of concerns over even sides, he should ask them both.
