Tux Help

Hey ladies,

We have a very geographically diverse WP, and I'm wondering what vendors there are out there, besides Men's Wearhouse, that have stores nationally for tux rental.  I've just heard that Men's Wearhouse is a little overpriced and I'm wondering what our other options are.

We have 3 GM in Chicago, 1 in LA, 3 in Boston, and 1 in Alaska.  Help!

TIA!

Re: Tux Help

  • Rather than look at vendors like bridal stores, you should look at tux companies. I used to work in a bridal shop and we carried 3 different companies. You could probably find one you like, then go to their website and see if they are rented locally to all your guys.

  • Or you can do what we did which was to just have the guys call in with their measurements to a local shop where the wedding was. Technically the tuxes can be fit within the day of the wedding...so not like a bm dress. Then they wouldn't have to check it on the plane or maybe forget it at home.

  • I agree with Stina.  Have them get their measurements and call into the store you choose.

  • A few suggestions...

Saavi formalwear has national locations.  I think they cost around $125.

The shop where I ordered my dress was willing to give us a 20% discount on the tux rentals.  The out of town guys would just have to get measured elsewhere and call in their measurements.

Men's Warehouse is costing our guys $125 each as well.  Men's Warehouse has a deal...if you order 10 paid tux orders, the groom gets a free tux rental for the day plus a free suit to keep.  My fiance wears suits for work, so it's a good deal for us.  Plus, with the dads and ring bearer, we get to ten paid tux rentals.

I think Knights formalwear is also a national chain.
