Wedding Party

Re: k

  • I don't know that we can call this a DD.  There isn't even a response to this.
  • I've seen a few of these.  People do know that they can delete a thread as long as there are no responses, right?  That was my understanding, at least.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Ok, maybe it's not a DD...just a "oops, I didn't really mean to post that." But they make me want to know what they said! I am nosy :)
  • Vanna, is there a K in our puzzle?

  • Considering that the URL title is "Maid of Honor's offensive tattoos," we can probably answer this one anyway:

If you want someone to cover her tattoos, fine, but don't single her out. Buy each bridesmaid a shawl or a jacket and ask her to wear it during the ceremony. If they're leg tattoos, have each BM wear a long dress. If they're arm tattoos, have each BM wear sleeves (at least for the ceremony). If they're facial tattoos, deal with it.

Many people say that tattoo makeup doesn't work well, and from what I've seen in real life it just brings MORE attention to the area.

Unless the tattoos are of naked people or curse words, I would just not worry about it at all. It will only be as big a deal as YOU make it. (Unless your house of worship forbids any kind of tattoos whatsoever.) If she's good enough to be your friend in everyday life, then she's good enough to be your bridesmaid on your wedding day. Tattoos and all.
