So after 14weeks of waiting, my bridesmaid dresses are finally in. There is one problem though, the stupid lady only ordered 8 dresses and I have 9 bridesmaids. When I picked up the dresses and metioned that the 9th dress and the extra fabric I ordered (at the same time as paying for the final bridesmaid dress) was not there, she looked at me and said oh yea I never heard from bridesmaid X. Well she did, because I had paid for the last dress to get everything wrapped up and sent off. She is blaming it on the company saying that they send the dress and fabric in a different box, and that box got sent to another shop. She said if they don't find it that the company said they would make another dress and have it sent out on the 11th of May, just 5 days before my wedding. I'm so frustrated, there is nothing I can do!!!!

Exactly, there is nothing you can do.  So sit back, relax, and wait.  If there is no word on things a couple weeks before, then seek solutions.

I have to agree with CA2MT, there's nothing you can do so try to put it out of your mind and focus on more positive things.

If you get down to the wire, check the trash to treasure board on the nest, weddingbee.com classifieds, ebay and craigslist for a dress by the same designer.  Or just hit up the mall for a dress in a similar color.  Any BMs who need their dresses hemmed substantially can give their extra fabric to anyone who needs to add fabric, or for whatever the extra fabric was.

Edit:  You can also call around to bridal shops to see if they have any samples by the designer in your color.  They might be willing to sell the sample.

That really sucks. I think you deserve a glass of wine/piece of chocolate/your pleasure of choice.

But then I'd just trust that it will work out somehow, especially if you check out some of gotta's ideas. Good luck!
