Could one of you please just step up and volunteer to mod RI or R&G already? Both boards seriously need a good mod to man the stickies and control the insanity.

I have no idea ... honestly, I didn't even realize the board had a mod until now, because the mod never actually does any "mod-ing" over there.

I don't get why if somebody actually volunteers to mod that they don't at least be given a chance? All of the national boards should have mods ... worse case scenario, if somebody sucks at it, can't they just be replaced with somebody else?

I really have no clue how being a mod works, so I will freely concede to being corrected if it's not that easy.

I volunteeered to be the RI mod but didn't hear back from KA. If anyone wants to nominate me, I'd mod any board. 

The RI mod is new this week.

And comments like that are probably why I will never be a mod :) I don't put up with crap too well. Plus I don't really have the desire to feel like knotting is an obligation.

Ceremony Ideas and M&M both have mods, but they haven't posted in something like a year.  It's kind of annoying.  There was a really awful vendor on M&M and I paged the mod about it on her club board, and it took her like a month to PM me back and ask what threads it was in.  Umm, you couldn't just check for yourself?

Favors only recently got rid of the mod who's account was apparently hacked, and the hacker took a joy ride on the crazy train banning and insulting everybody. That incident happened months ago, and they only removed the mod within the past few weeks.

Maybe the Knot needs somebody that can make sure that mods are actually doing their jobs? A mod for the mods? Idk, it's just frustrating to see how bad it is on some of the other boards.

I could never mod. Ever. I've been told when I reproduce that I might calm down, but that's not happening any time soon.

I definitely agree that a lot of these boards could use mods (or oftentimes they have a mod but she's never actually around).  But it can't be easy to find someone who's even-keeled and wants to do it.   I mean, there are boards I think I could manage, but they're the ones that are easy-going and don't really need the modding, haha!

Oh god, you really don't get it. Still. A non-native English speaker can write in English that is perfectly intelligible, although it might have some slight flaws (although it might not, people can learn another language very well). You immediately jump to the conclusion that if someone wasn't born speaking English, you wouldn't be able to understand them because they would be incapable of effectively communicating in English.

Mainly because everytime there's a problem or drama everyone's always like "I WILL PRAY 4 U" or something about things going as God wills them.  I mean, I know our people are super into Jesus but it would drive me up the wall to see every problem met with prayer.  UP THE WALL.
