Wedding Party

Gifts

I know this may be a difficult question since no one knows my bridal party--but for WP gifts, we are making jewelry for them to wear, but I feel like I need to get them something else.

I was thinking of getting each girl a giftcard to either a restaurant or massage. My personal attendant (for example) absolutely loves sushi so I was thinking of getting her a giftcard to the local sushi place in town.

I am just at a complete loss as to what to get them. I don't think they'd "enjoy" a personalized frame with our wedding day on it or anything of that sort, but I feel like gift cards are not personal. I got them these clutch type bags off of etsy.com that I was going to put the jewelry in, and was thinking of putting the giftcards in there, as well as other things they may need for the wedding day.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

</div><div>The jewelry is not a gift for them if it's for your wedding day, so I think the gcs are a great idea. The sushi idea is great. DO any of them like to read? Barnes and Noble. Do any of them cook? Williams sonoma....etc.

  • Thank you for those suggestions! I tend to forget about the places likes Williams Sonoma or Crate & Barrel.

I never thought I would stress about bridal party gifts....haha.

    Thanks!
  • YOu could even probably get one of them a gc to stub hub so that they could get concert or sports tickets. There's no way that your "picky" bm friend would hate EVERY store out there. Where does she like to shop for clothes?

Macys, American Eagle, Anthropologie, Bloomingdales, etc....

  • Maybe consult their SO/mom/sister/what have you for ideas?  DH cleared a couple of his gifts with his GMs' wives when he was on the fence about them, and I checked with one BM's husband to make sure that she didn't already have what I was considering buying for her.  They'll usually have the best idea of both what they'd really want and what they already have.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Yup, I've been contemplating the same question. Im finding it crazy tough myself. One of the Items I recieved (as a bridesmaid) that I absolutley love was a small photo album with pics of me and the Bride, or pics of memorable moments that we had shared. It had a very personal touch.
  • I ended up getting a nice picture frame and am putting a picture of me and each girl in their frame and I will be doing some sort of gift card for each girl. Still have yet to choose a place for each girl, but that should be easy once I start looking. Thank you to everyone for all of the suggestions as to what I can do! It is much appreciated!
