Wedding Party

Question!

On a whim I decided to break down our budget info in my bio, but now I'm not convinced anyone would care?  Should I keep it?

Also, any comments or suggestions for the FAQ sections (it's kind of just thrown together).

Re: Question!

  • I haven't looked at it yet, but I like it when brides have their budgets up for new brides to peruse. I don't put mine up because there's a double standard on the knot. Budget brides get upset with girls who have a larger budget. I didn't have a platinum wedding but I get pegged for having more than 10,000 too.

  • I don't see why not.  I don't think it will help much here, but for locals it might
dont make ur password so easy. gbck2CA2 hahahaha
  • Well, my budget was rather large as well ($17,000) so I don't want to piss anyone off.

  • I think you're fine. I'd keep it up.

I'd take it down, but not because of the size of it.  The thing that would concern me is privacy.  I've developed friendships with people I've met on here and have seen people I've known from real life.  I wouldn't want that info just out there to anyone that looked.  I would do maybe percentages and tips and invite anyone local to PM you if they want specifics about something.
  • Good point, MNIN.

  • Thanks, MNIN, I'll have to think about that.  For me, I don't really care if people who know me know what was spent, but I don't know how people who know me would feel knowing that info, does that make sense?

  • I think I'll put the info on a separate page and password protect it.  Then anyone who wants to see the info can send me a message and I'll send them the password.

  • I just looked at your bio.  I really like how you have a pic of EVERYONE who was at the wedding.  FWIW, your budget was bigger than mine, and I don't care. :)

<div>Totally.  I'm really squeamish about money, so that's where my brain automatically goes.</div><div>
</div><div>I like the idea of doing the password.  I think that's a brilliant compromise.  </div>
  • Dang, I have to pay to password protect.  I might just make it a separate page so that someone has to make a conscious effort to look rather than stumbling upon it.
