Who should I choose as my bridesmaid??

MY fiance wants 4 groomsmen. I have 3 bridesmaids and I'm trying to decide on the fourth. ITs between my 16 year old cousin, but is 16 too young for a bridesmaid? Or i could choose my friend who I've known for only 2 years. Who should I choose?

<div>If you can't decide between them, either ask both of them or none of them. No, 16 is not too young to walk down the aisle, stand quietly for the ceremony, and smile for pictures. No, you do not need to have the same number of bridesmaids as groomsmen. No, no one will probably even notice (they'll be focusing their attention on the stars of the show--the bride and groom). No, your pictures won't turn out awful (a good photographer will make any number of people look amazing). No, the processional/recessional will not be horrible b/c two bridesmaids walk with one groomsman.</div><div>

Just because he has 4 GM does not mean you have to have 4 BM. If you're happy with the 3 BM, go with 3. If you genuinely want one or both of these other girls in the wedding, ask them. But if you are only asking them to fill out the sides, that's ridiculous and a bad reason to ask them.

And no, 16 is not too young to be a BM. It's not like she has to vote, drink, smoke, or sleep with the GM and therefore she needs to be an adult.

WPs are not about symmetry. They are about having those you care most about stand with you on your wedding day.

If you care about both women, have both. I'm sure that you don't feel that an arbitrary number and symmetry are more important than your friends?

Fortunately, people are much smarter now than they used to be, and realize that numbers is the silliest reason for asking someone to be in their WP.

Will you be less married if you don't have even sides than if you do?
