Really neither.  If we go somewhere specifically because of something someone else said, it was featured on Food Network (Throw Down, Triple D or Best Thing).

I love Starbucks regular hot chocolate.

Do you use yelp? What for? I would if I lived in the US. I'll look at it when I'm home for restaurants or just random stuff like finding an eyebrow threading place in my home town.

What's your favorite hot chocolate? Starbucks hot chocolate is delicious. And I'm not a Starbucks junky in general, but they really know hot chocolate.

Do you use yelp? What for? I just joined up. I like to read about good restaurants to go to.
When you go out to dinner, do you look online for reviews or go by word of mouth? Both. We use yelp, look at friend recs, etc.
Skiing or snowboarding? I have never snowboarded, but I would like to try it. I am a really good skiier though.
Soup or stew? I don't like either, really. Weird, I know.
What's your favorite hot chocolate? Any really, as long as it's not SO hot.

Occasionally I use it for reviews of dry cleaners, nail salons, etc. but not usually for restaurants.

I haven't done either but hoping to sometime next month.  I think DH and I are going to take a mini vacation to Big Bear.

I used to really like Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate but they discontinued it and replaced it with a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate which is yummy!

Skiing or snowboarding? Neither, I'm not a snowbaby...I like to watch both though...
Soup or stew? That all depends on the type...I'd probably say chili though...I'm a huge chili fan

When you go out to dinner, do you look online for reviews or go by word of mouth? Word of mouth usually, I don't go by reviews because there's no way to know what the reviewers personal tastes are as opposed to say my brother who has been to a certain place.

Soup or stew? Stew if I want a heartier meal, soup if I want a light one. I don't discriminate.

What's your favorite hot chocolate? Home-made the way my mom makes it. Yummo!

Emily, I agree. But then again, when I was home, I was getting a bunch of "first to review" notices. I guess it's more of a big city thing. I love it though.

In general, I'm actually pretty clueless about the internet. I only discovered online shopping like a year ago, lol.

Yes! Everything! Doctors, restaurants, spa services, watch repair- I love it!

Both, we use zagats.com a lot. I like that it has both professional and customer reviews.

Skiing! I was a complete fail at snowboarding.

DH has been making some fabulous stew in the slow cooker, but generally I am more of a soup fan.

I like them all, but the white hot chocolate at Max Brenner is delish.

What's your favorite hot chocolate? White chocolate hot chocolate with tons of marshmallows. Okay, honestly, if it has a mound of marshmallows in it, I'll love it. I'm just drinking it for the stay-puff'd.
