Wedding Party

Yeah, this is a good idea.

I just can't understand how people think sometihng's okay, and then get really, really, really p!ssy when they're told it's not at all in good taste:

"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146

  • Um, wow...just...wow...
  • I saw that, saw your response, and decided that I couldn't add anything that had not already been said. Sometimes people JUST amaze me.

I want to have a vow renewal so I can do all of this gift grabby stuff. I've been married 30 years, I could really use new towels, sheets, dishes, etc. A gift card shower would really help out. I'm just sayin.....
    Wink
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • What is wrong with people? In what world could you possibly think that something like that could be okay? And then to actually DEFEND it when peopel start saying how offensive it is! Unbelievable.

  • Oh. my. lord. Trix, you must be a horrible person because you would never give me a gift without demanding cake. Are you kidding me? This girl clearly has no sense of right and wrong. Just another one of the "I am asking for your opinion simply for validation that I am not going to get so then I am going to whine and complain that you are being mean to me". No worries though she "ended the conversation".

uggggghhhh. Why are people are so dense?

Good choice on the picture, mbc. That's a personal favorite of mine to use :^)

I... I can't believe it, I actually agree with Kristin#s. ::checks for blue moon::

[QUOTE]I'm not surprised by this at all. I know two people who recently registered- one for a second baby on the way and one for her third daughter on the way. Both women are not having a shower, just posting registry information on facebook. I'm not a baby shower expert, but that sounds pretty tacky to me.

That's like a friend of mine who posted his Amazon wish list on FB, with a line in the note that said "In case anyone's planning on buying me presents for Christmas, here is what I want!" Totally tacky.

And my favorite part about that thread is the way she stomps her foot and says "NOBODY COMMENT ON THIS ANYMORE." It's a public message board. When are the tantrum-throwing noobs gonna learn that they can't shut it down when they're "done" hearing advice???
