Beach wedding/ Groomsmen Attire

I am looking for brown linen shirts that the guys can roll the sleeves (long sleeve) up.  Not sure what to put them in for bottoms...khaki linen pants? or nice khaki shorts?

Re: Beach wedding/ Groomsmen Attire

  • I personally would have them wear the linen pants. Shorts just seem way to casual to me for a wedding. There may be others who disagree. You can also check with Stores like Macy's & Norstroms or if you have a local Mens Warehouse their pretty good about connecting you with that. GL
  • I would go with the pants. Either linen or regular khaki.

But most importantly, what does your FI think they should wear?

    This.

If the answer is "honey, I don't care, you pick what my GMs wear," then I vote for pants.
  • We are having a beach weddings and went through the same conversation.  My FI decided that he wanted black shirts and khaki pants.  We ended up buying golfers pants (for FI, GMs, FOB, and FOG) from a sporting goods store.  They look nice, are breathable and have a cuff...  I think they are wrinkle resistant as well.  My FI was opposed to linen for some reason, but he loved these pants.  They also seemed to run long, which was good since we have a couple of tall folks in the wedding.

I also voted no on shorts - If you are in a long dress, he can wear pants.  I just doesnt look right to me.  I showed him a couple of pictures, realized pants looked better and that is when he started researching "breathable" pants...  HE's a nutty one, but I love him!
  • We're also getting married on a beach.  My FI and the GM are wearing a tuxedo on the top and shorts on the bottom.  My FI also loves wearing shorts, and wears them almost year round, so for us, that choice is appropriate.  I'm wearing a short dress (my choice) and length won't be an issue.
