Wedding Party

What do I put on the outfit?

I want to give my bridesmaids a tracksuit in my wedding color as a thank-you gift. I'll be giving them away on rehearsal dinner night, so they can wear them on the morning of the wedding, since it comes with a zip down jacket, which helps with their hair being done.

The thing is, I am not sure about if I should personalize them. I was thinking of doing something like putting their name on the back of the jacket. But then I'm not sure if that's a good idea? I definitely do not want to put down my name or "bridesmaid" or anything of that sort, because I want them to be able to use the tracksuit anytime after the wedding.

Do you have any ideas on what I should put on their outfit? Should I just leave it plain?

[QUOTE]I just fell in love with Khloe Kardashin's idea. She gave all of her bridesmaids velour hoodie with pants from Juicy Couture and I'm doing the same thing. I just find them comfortable. I wear them and I know my bridesmaids love stuff like that.

[QUOTE]OK I agree on the color and the name thing. I"ll leave it plain and get them in their favorite color. All of my BMs love to work out and wear sweats afterwards. I know this is the type of stuff they'd enjoy wearing.  thanks for all of your inputs.

Yeah, this is the best way to do it if you're doing this gift.  Having your name on your clothes kind of makes me think of the mechanics in movies who have them on their coveralls.  Besides, sometimes, you just don't want the people around you to have ready access to your name.
  • Do your friends actually wear tracksuits?  I don't think I've ever seen someone wearing them in real life...

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Uuuuugh. All of the girls in my HS would wear them UNDER their uniform skirts and over their collared shirts. I think it may have traumatized me. Also, on Madison Avenu or SoHo there are always these platinum arcryllic nailed tanned girls who use 'like' every two seconds wearing them as they go shopping at uber trendy stores.
  • Go for it, what really matters is that you give your BM something they will like and use.

I'm considering getting 2 of my BM tracksuits, but as a gag.  We all ran track in college and lived in those things for 4 years.  After college we vowed never to wear them unless we were running. They would get a big kick out of seeing one with their names embroidered on it.

That sounds like a really expensive gag gift.  Obviously you'll get them something else that they'll actually like if you do this, right?

  • By track suits do you mean the velour type ones? I wear those pants all the time. I guess it depends on your BMs, it would be a gift that I would def use, but I know other girls that would not be caught dead in them.

And I agree with PPs, although personalizing seems like a good idea now, it will make your BMs less likely to wear the suits out.
