  • Book you are currently reading:I'm between books. I need a rec actually.
A fear you had as a kid:I was afraid of yoda and taz. There were two family friends that we would visit and their guest rooms had either a picture of yoda or a stuffed taz on the bed and it would freak me out!
What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler?I was a band geek, a drama geek, and a jock.
Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow: Congrats on your wedding Emily. You've been waiting for it to come and it's here! You're going to be such a hot bride!

  • Book you are currently reading: In the middle of Tom Friedman's "The World is Flat" but haven't picked it up for a couple weeks

A fear you had as a kid: Spiders. Still don't like them, but I'm less hysterical about them now.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler? I went to a tiny all girls school were everyone kind of did everything, so we didn't so much have the set groups. But I guess I was a jock, since I played sports year-round.

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow: Yes, I win at WPBP! Haha, seriously though, I am giving myself a well wish, and that is to SLEEP well tonight. Haven't had a full, non-interrupted night since pre-quake, and I'm freaking tired.
  • Book you are currently reading:
Brunner and Suddarth's Textbook of Medical-Surgical Nursing
(I have no life, it revolves around school)

A fear you had as a kid:
Live fish.  My dad and I would go fishing (we used artificial lures, thank goodness) and he would have to take the fish off the line for me and release it.  Oh, I should mention that we always did catch and release because I don't eat seafood.  The fish on the line would freak me out.  I touched one once because he made me and I just about threw the entire fishing pole in the river.  Never again,

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler?
    I was a jock.

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow:
Since Emily has already put it out there I wish for a good night's sleep! You're going to look fabulous tomorrow!  Congratulations and enjoy your family and friends.

  • Book you are currently reading: "Little Women" for the billionth time.

A fear you had as a kid: Fire.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler? I didn't.  I guess if anything it was the bookish kind of girl...I didn't really fit into anything else.

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow: Good luck, Emily!  All the best wishes for a beautiful and wonderful day!

A fear you had as a kid:  I don't recall anything major or specific.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler?  I don't know - I got along with all groups of people - my friends were the people who were nice to everyone crowd...I was an editor in my high school Yearbook.

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow:
Congratulations, Emily! This past week has brought some challenges (to say the least) your way but you've handled them with grace and a clear head and I think it speaks volumes to the grace with which you conduct yourself. :-) If only all brides could keep things in perspective like you have! I wish you and your FI a very happy wedding tomorrow and hopefully as many family members & friends as possible can be there with you to celebrate. I'm sure they'll be there in spirit if not in person.

Book you are currently reading: A Reliable Wife.  It started off good, but now it's just bad.

A fear you had as a kid: I had to sleep in bed with covers over me.  If there were no covers, then the monsters could get me.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler? The good girl

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow: Enjoy your wedding tomorrow!  And look around at all those people who changed planes and fought hard to get there for you.  Those people are awesome!  And remember those who couldn't make it - just because they aren't there, doesn't mean they love you any less!
  • Book you are currently reading:
Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths go to Work (for my fraud examiner certification)
A fear you had as a kid:
Mud between my toes. I could NOT stand it, which didn't work well with living in the country and running aroud barefoot all the time.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler?
    Nerd/Band Geek

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow

  • Book? Not currently reading one. I haven't foudn my books yet-still moving!
A Fear? My mom liked to tell me all the bad things about the world so that I wouldn't have an unrealistic view. I was terrified as a kid that someone would come in the house at night and murder us. My bedroom was the first one down the hall so I thought I would be the first to go. Pleasant huh???
Stereotype? I was shy. Somehow I ended up dating a popular guy in HS for about 3.5 years. So I became the shy dorky girl in a popular crowd...That was awkward!
Emily? Take a deep breathe and a moment to jsut sit back and take everything end. I hope that most everyone is able to get to Chile and enjoy your day with you. Alos, get some sleep tonight!!! :)

OMG-I am too. It didn't start until I was in 5th grade. My grandpa had a brown recluse bite and it almost caused him to lose his leg! Every since then it is really bad. I had a therapist at one point bring in a teranchula during a session and I freaked. It made my fear much worse and I didn't sleep well for weeks!

  • Book you are currently reading: "Tipping the Velvet" by Sarah Waters. I try to give my Kindle as much love as possible.
A fear you had as a kid: Geese. I'm still a little wary of large birds. I got bit by a goose on a preschool field trip to the zoo. Clearly, it stuck with me.

What stereotype did you fit into as a high schooler? I was a hipster/punkish/band/choir/stage kid. As in, I had safety pins in half of what I wore, purple, spikey hair, too much eye makeup and loved performing.

Well wishes for Emily because her wedding is tomorrow: Holy cow, girl. May tomorrow be peaceful and full of love. And as for the good night's sleep you're looking for - I'm praying that you get it!
