bridesmaid?

To make a long story short, my fiance's sister was asked to be a groomswoman and my brother was asked to be a bridesman.  I only have a junior bridesmaid now and I'm wondering if maybe I should make his sister a bridesmaid.  I asked my brother if he'd be ok with switching sides and he is. 

Problem?  It's very obvious that his sister does not like me very much.  We're just 2 different girls and she doesn't want to make the effort to get close to anyone. 

I kind of feel like I've answered my own question but I still go back and forth.  I know that things can completely change between us in a short time but I don't want to count on that either. 

Has anyone gone through this or have any words of wisdom?  Thank you!

I think it's fine the way it is.  Your attendants are those people that are the closest to you.  It sounds like that is how you have it now.  It is fine for you to have only two attendants and it is fine to have a guy be the only non-junior attendant on your side.

It sounds like it's perfect as it is.  Why would you change it?  Because you feel like only girls are "real" BM's?  If you and his sister don't get on, making her a BM isn't going to fix that.  It's who you have up there that matters, now how many or what gender or what it looks like.

Keep it the way it is.  Don't ever change your WP to fit into some mold of what you think it should look like.  It sounds like you've selected some people to stand up with you who you love and are very supportive.  No need to change anything!

FWIW, my side of the party consists of 2 Jr.BMs, and 2 "Bridesmanmaids" (as they are calling themselves).  They're the people I'm closest to, and that's who should be standing up.
