Re: WPBP of the day

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? Yes, I did. But originally I told myself that I wasn't going to. But my mom was complaining about how I didn't register for enough stuff.
Where are/ were you registered at?We were registered at Macys, Bed bath and Beyond, and Crate and Barrel.
What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? Either the fine china pieces, the waffle iron, or the cake dome. I was going to say kitchenaid mixer, but my mom bought it as a housewarming gift for me before I registered.
Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I did the second or third time. At BBB, they had an associate go around with me holding the gun. I felt pressured to register for stuff because she wasn't letting me be on my own.
If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not?

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk?
    I did registry stalk.

Where are/ were you registered at?
We registered at BBB, Macy's & Target.

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry?
The thing I wanted most off our registry was probably any and all kitchen utensils.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not?
I did enjoy the registry experience... until my H got involved.  He questioned everything I registered for and then wanted to add just random tasteless things haha.  It was cool, I just let him scan whatever and just cleaned it up when I got home.

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not?

  • Bbyckes, just so you know...I FINALLY finished Dexter Season 4....but there might be someone on here who hasn't.

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? I do.

Where are/ were you registered at? Macy's and Williams-Sonoma

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? Red Kitchenaid Mixer.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? Eh, not really at Macy's.  We made the mistake of going to an upscale mall to do it, and they kept pressuring us to register for things that were definitely out of our price range.  WS was great.  I loved it there.

Am I registry stalking? heck yeah! I can't help myself. I have 3 registries and I keep running into stores discontinuing things or them being out of stock. Everybody has had a hard time finding gifts because the stores seem to be a mess lately. I've been getting a lot of stuff I didn't register for, and already have.

Where am I registered at? Macy's, Belk, and Bed Bath & Beyond - buy me presents ;)

What did I want most? The little bissell carpet spot steamer because I have pets and a messy FI...or the dirt devil vaccuum. Both got purchased!

Did I enjoy the registry experience?I have had HUGE PROBLEMS with Macy's and Belk's registries. I would never suggest using them. Plus the china at Macy's is so overpriced compared to other stores!!!  We had a lot of problems with people going to Belk or Macys thinking they will purchase a present and then being told that the store would have to order it for them; that would be fine for some but who wants to show up to a shower without a gift. It cut down on the crystal, flatware, and china items we could have received. Bed, Bath & Beyond wasn't so bad; it just depended on what day you went to the store as to whether they would have the item in stock.

EDIT: Stina BB&B did the same to me. They followed me around. I finally turned around and told the woman that I preferred my space but thank you for helping. It was a lot more fun after that. My sil took me registry shopping way back when and the lady followed us around and put things on the registry that she didn't want. It was a mess because she had to start all over to clear things up.
    Anniversary
  • Did you registry stalk? Oh hells yes. It was fun!

Where were you registered at? One department store in Chile plus Macy's and BB&B.

What was the thing you want most off the registry? I honestly don't know! The thing we're most glad to have after the fact may be our espresso maker because it's something we never would have bought for ourselves but really enjoy.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I enjoyed getting presents, haha, but the experience of actually registering was neither here nor there.
  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? I probably will.

Where are/ were you registered at? Bed Bath Beyond and William-Sonoma

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? the expensive duvet.  FI's comforter is literally falling apart at the seams so I have to go and stitch parts of it up all the time.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I had fun.  It's like shopping with other people's money!
  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? I am. I can't stop myself. They make it so easy.

Where are/ were you registered at? Bed Bath & Beyond. If I had to register anywhere else, I would kill someone with the stupid beeping gun.

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? Roomba. I want the Roomba so bad that I'm ready to just go out and buy it myself. One, I want to unleash the beast on my constantly-pilling carpet (it's new-ish, so it's always shedding these big lint balls that I just can't keep ahead of), and two, I just want to see how the cats will react to it.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. That being said, it was a trying experience. I was embarrassed to even have a registry because I felt like no matter what we chose someone would see us as too greedy or too cheap.

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? Not really.  I look a couple of times.
Where are/ were you registered at?BBB.  They had pretty much everything we wanted.
What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? The Dyson and the KitchenAid mixer.
Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not?I liked it and DH liked it once he was able to use the scanner gun.
If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not?

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? I'll probably tell myself not to, but FI would probably break me, lol.

Where are/ were you registered at? Plan on registering at Macy's and BB&B, we've been living together for quite a while so we don't need a ton of stuff :-)

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? Food Processor :-) We already have a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer and a Dyson. FI would say a deep fryer :-P

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I'm sure we'll have fun with it.

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not? I'm pretty excited for it! Although I'll probably have to stop FI from scanning everything in the store :-P

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk?Yes, I did.  Around the shower and a couple of weeks before the wedding.

Where are/ were you registered at?BBB, Target, and we registered for tools/garage items at Sears.

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry?Probably our tent and air matress.  We go on a canoe trip every year and have just borrowed other people's tents before, but I really wanted to have our own.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not?Yes, I enjoyed it.  H enjoyed it for a little bit, but he would get irritated when I'd spend more than two seconds trying to pick out sheets.  :)  Although, I felt the same way at Sears when he was deciding between which saws to put on the registry.

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not?

  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk?  Not really.  I kind of wanted to be surprised.

Where are/ were you registered at?  Our main registry was at Amazon.  We also registered at BB&B, mainly to get to play with the zappy gun.

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry?  The cobalt blue Kitchenaid.  I joked that I was mainly getting married so I could get one.  My mom gave it to us as a Christmas gift, so I didn't feel bad about using it long before the wedding.  When my mom pinned me down and asked me what was the one thing I wanted most aside from what she'd already gotten us, the only thing I could think of was the Monty Python Flying Circus boxed set, which she promptly sent us.  She also got DH his Mr. Beer kit.  I swear, she was a one-woman shower.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not?  Mostly.  The zappy gun was fun.  We had a small destination wedding, so we didn't expect to get too much stuff.  I was pleased that people tended to gravitate toward the off-kilter stuff rather than the generic registry things.  For instance, we didn't get any towels, but we got both novelty ice trays (the shot glasses and the Space Invaders, both of which we use daily).

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not?
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? We haven't told anyone where we're registered, so not yet :)
Where are/ were you registered at? Pretty sure we're registered at Macy's and Crate and Barrel but I dunno where else...
What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? KitchenAid mixer...it's my Holy Grail :)
Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I've done any registering so far online, so it's not a big deal...
If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not? I remember doing my baby registries for both kids (they are 7 years apart and different genders) and that was sort of fun, so maybe wedding registries will be fun...
  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? I really don't want to but I know we prolly will...
Where are/ were you registered at? I plan on registering at Macy's and BBB. I want to include a thrid place but not sure where yet. Some place that is near FI's side of the family.
What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? I want good knives!!!

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? I really haven't had a chance to register yet. I know I need to get started soon but just need to find the time! When I worked at Toys R Us, I would help with the baby registry's and that was super fun!

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not? I'm excited for it but I really don't have any idea what to register for. I will have to go in there with a very detailed action plan, or i'll end up with a bunch of crazy stuff.

    Best Show EVER!
  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? Yes, but I stopped for a couple weeks between when shower invites went out and the shower.

Where are/ were you registered at? BBB

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? Henckles knife block set.  We purchased it with a coupon and wedding gift money after the wedding.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? It was okay.  I liked choosing out stuff that fit both of our taste rather than being more my taste or his taste.  But it also got tedious... I'm like Stage's husband about certain decisions.  I had to read reviews of every kitchen gadget to make sure my can opener wouldn't rust and my garlic press was also a garlic peeler.
  • Are you going to/Did you registry stalk? We probably will.

Where are/ were you registered at? We're thinking BB&B and either Target or Macy's.

What was/is the thing you want most off the registry? A KitchenAid mixer...and I'm really excited to get matching stuff for our bathroom.  We currrently have a mix of all the stuff left over from college, and it's time to upgrade.  And towels...I can't wait for new towels.

Did you enjoy the registry experience? Why or why not? We're going to register in probably October or November.

If you haven't registered yet, are you excited about it? Why or why not? Yes.  I want to play with the scanner gun, and FI is really excited to get new kitchen gadgets because he's the chef at our place.
