Wedding Party

Shower Gifts

I know that this is really far in advanced but I have just been told by my maid of honor that her and the rest of the girls are going to be throwing a surprise shower. I want to get that gifts for going beyond and doing this for me because I really appreciate it! They are some of the best bridesmaids ever! I am at lost of what to get them. I want it to be something that they will use. I am doing something individually for their wedding gifts but I want it to be something separate. I was thinking if I could think of what to get them now I might be able to find things on sale or what not. I just want to have the gifts on hand because like I said, it will be a surprise so I want to be prepared and not rushing around to find things at the last minute. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Re: Shower Gifts

  • My friends gave me gift cards to my favorite food and hobby places along with a heartfelt note that just reassured me why I love them (each one I get brings tears to my eye). So really that's what I usually get as a gift and I love it.
  • Thanks for all your help!! It is much appreciated!
  • I'm confused though, if it's a surprise shower, wouldn't it seem weird that you had thank you gifts ready and waiting?  If it really is meant for a complete surprise, as in they tell you to show up at someone's house and they are there for your shower, I think it would be odd.  And if that's the case I would just give them something extra in their BM gift and include in the TY card how much you appreciated everything they did, especially the shower.

I totally agree with this. Play it low, and after the shower call and thank them, maybe offer lunch or cocktails. Or just add to the gift you give them as a BM gift.

For some reason a massage sounds like an awesome gift right now.
