Hey everyone, I'm having trouble coming up with a title for my FSIL. She is escorting our dog who is the ring bearer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Puppy Walker, Snuffles' Escort, Bride's Dog Groomer... It all sounds so condescending, like the sister is beneath the dog, which I guess she is. I'd skip the title. Why add insult to injury?
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
You will get a lot of negative feedback from posters that don't think it's appropriate to use your dog in your ceremony, but I for one, am all for it. We were married on the beach and she was our ring-bearer, seeing as how he proposed to me with the ring on her collar. She was lead by my 2 nephews and sat right by our feet the entire time and didn't move unless we moved.
Only YOU know your dog and his behavior but please make sure that you make all of your guests aware that a dog will be present in case someone is allergic or could possible be terrified of dogs. I made sure that my guests were aware of this and all of them have been around her plenty of times before, so it worked out for me.
In my sig pic, you can just barely see the tip of her nose sticking out from my dress.
Then again, I am just a "slore-bag" on the CC board, so what do I know?

That is exactly what we called Sarabelle (yellow lab), but I would blend it all together when I said it aloud, so it ended up sounding like "ringbear"
My H says her Indian name is "SaraBear Fur Mouth", hence the ringbear joke.

He is very well trained and competes regularly in Obedience/Rally/Agility events, so I know he'd be able to handle the job! Well, like I tell FI, next wedding, we get married on the beach and the dogs come! :-)
All I could think of are names that make the job sound as awful as I imagine it would be. I am NOT a dog person and their is no way in hell I would allow our dog or cat be part of the ceremony. I would go with what Aerin said.

Thank you OBX and Aerin. By the way, my FSIL she ADORES my WELL BEHAVED dog. If she didn't want to escort her I would've never asked her. She loves dogs more than anyone I've ever met and is active in dog rescues. To those who said it is a position of dishonor or an insult should lighten up! Our wedding is taking place at my parents 70 acre home so having our dog be apart of our day is relatively easy. No transportation neccessary because before and after the ceremony the dog will be hanging out in the house(with my parents 2 dogs).

Just keep it simple with the programs, no one reads them anyway.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.
