Engagement party help!

My maid of honor is throwing us an engagement party for just our friends (parents are throwing one for the families), the only problem is that we can't figure out where to have it.  Were inviting around 45 people, and most of the places we have looked are too expensive to have that many people. Anyone know of any relatively cheap ideas for a location to have our engagement party in San Antonio?

    Hello!

I am a Casting Producer with a company in Los Angeles called 44 Blue Productions.  We are doing a new show with CMT that is based around a venue in San Antonio called The Swanderosa.  It is a huge, sprawling, 18 acre estate that rents out their grounds for private parties and huge weddings.  Please visit the Swanderosa website at http://theswanderosa.com/site/ for details and photos.

The venue would be provided free of charge to you (over a 5,000/day value) and there are tons of perks for you and your fiance if you'd like to be involved.  We are shooting in June and July of this year, so you would need to be willing to move the date of your wedding up in order to be featured on the show!

Please contact me regarding further details,

Quarry Golf Club has a room that overlooks the golf course that is supposed to be nice.  They have been advertising a lot so they probably need the business, but I haven't looked into it so I really have no idea how much they would charge.  I know a girl that had a shower at Perico's (mexican restaurant) - apparently they have a back room that can hold parties.  Just some ideas!
