    I can't imagine being 19 and getting married.

    I'm lucky that my parents paid for our wedding.  BUT, I don't think they would have if I was so young.  As a general rule, I think if you can't legally toast with alcohol at your own wedding then you should wait until you're at least old enough to be able to do so before walking down the aisle.

    I know she's going to come back with "I've already experienced everything I want to experience so now I want to get married."  Which always makes me REALLY sad because I hadn't done anything by the time I was 19 compared to when I was 25 (the year I got married).

    At 19 I was so naive about so many things...I am now getting married at 31 and I feel like this is the perfect age for me to get married since I got to spend my 20's being selfish and getting all the wild oats of the way.

    In my circle of friends this is quite common - I have  a lot of friends who are 31, 32 and just now getting married or who are still single. This is probably a huge factor on why I'm so comfortable with this, also...my peer group reflects a later age for marriage. I reailze in other areas it's quite different so 19, 20, 21 might be more common...but I still think it's so young.
