hello

I have to apologize for my post earlier under a different user name. I was going to be the MOH at a friends wedding a few years back. Long story short they broke up. Anyway. This is my profile now since I'm the soon to be bride! : My now fiance and I have been together since May of 2008. And recently engaged as of March 27. Were both very excited! His parents and my mother finally get to meet this weekend. Crazy that his family and my family have never met and we've been together for almost 4 yrs.We, as I see a lot of couples have concerns and questions. And I hope I can relate to some couples out there. First concern: were not sure if we can set a realistic budget since we both live off of disability checks. We cannot exceed more than 2K in both our bank accounts without the government catching it. We "save" by taking a certain amount of money out of our accounts and using the "sock drawer" method. Concern number two: parents can't help. They're poor. Number three:my biggest concern. were most concerned about where the ceremony will be held and the catering costs. Were not picky about indoor or outdoor. Wish we could have the wedding back in my home town, but my friends here in SA don't drive. for catering they need to be an expert on allergies. My fiance and his mother are both gluten free. His mother and also a friend of ours are vegetarians. I also have a very good friend who's allergic to mushrooms and another allergic to seafood. The reception site needs to be flexible on letting us choose our own catering and not just from a list they have. Also the sit needs to be wheelchair accessible; for me and 2 others. We have about 60 guests we want to invite. That includes kids and babies. We want it on a Saturday morning or afternoon. Minor concern is that my fiance is color blind. We might just have black and white for our colors regardless of the time of year since its the only colors he can truly see. Concern: his family is out of state and my family is out of town. Is there anyway to make it a great wedding even if it ends early? Or should I give suggestions on popular tourist sites? Or any other suggestions would be great from yall. The other things aren't a huge concern at all. I have a friends who's going to be the photographer and create the invites. The dress, rings, hair, makeup, music and tux not a big deal. Just the reception, decorations and catering is my biggest stresser!! Thank you, Sarah Ps-were planning on October 2013
