  • Omg, Stina, really?!?!?!?! That is so awesome. I don't know if you've ever seen the map of "The Erth According To Sal", but that is currently my compy's wallpaper at home, and I have a copy of it hanging in my cube at work.

  • I haven't. I'll have to peruse the interwebz for that. Who's your favorite person? We saw Artie live and he was funny...got a drunk girl kicked out!

  • Oh, dude, FI's going to die when he finds out you saw Artie live. We're big Artie fans (We're actually purchasing "Jack & Coke" on CD to listen to on the way down to Disney).

It's actually really funny, because whenever Howard starts whining about how he hates being social, and "I just want to stay home and not be bothered", it makes me laugh, because that is so how FI is. Which FI loves that Howard is so "cool" but is just like him in his anti-social nerdy ways.

I think my favorite moments are when Howard's mother is on the phone ... I actually get ticked off if I lose signal during one of those.

  • We often sing "round and brown" at bars instead of singing "round and round" and when we heard feliz navidad he told me "release robin's bra so I can see those brown tata's. I hilarious!

Dh already read "Too fat to fish" and loved it.

  • What do you think of the website "Ashleymadison.com?"
I think it's disgusting.  It's bad enough that people cheat, but that someone is making a buck off of it is sick.

Would you blame the person who created the site or the person who cheated?
Both.  True, if a person is going to cheat, they'll find a way, but if this company is advertising (I've never heard/seen ads) they are putting the idea in people's heads.  I think it's also spreading an everyone does it attitude.  The cheater is still 100% at fault for his/her actions, but the site is wrong too.

    Do you have facebook?
    Sure do.

What do you do with people who are annoying posters: block them, unfriend them, or ignore/hide them?
It depends.  All of my relatives are on there, and some of them are annoying.  I've hidden some of them, but some of them I just have to ignore in case they say something interesting.  For friends/associates, I just de-face them.
  • Mynameisnot- My uncle and aunt are both super annoying on facebook. I always tell parents and the older generation that even though they have facebook, they don't really know how to use facebook.

I totally called my aunt out one time when she pretty much announced in her status bar that my cousin was unemployed. She wrote back "oh he has a job, if you had read the status correctly." So annoying. And my uncle is a religious FREAK. I have no problem with religion, just don't press it all in my face. He knows this about me and he still likes to bring up Jesus and God with me. So then I bite his head off, and my sister and dad will even join in. Then he tries to play the martyr. But even my grandma who has facebook thinks he needs to back off and that hes being lame.

  • Ugh, I have that jesus freak uncle too!  He's also a tea bagger style wing nut.  He sends these propaganda emails out all the time.  I always reply with a link to snopes.  For some reason, I'm still on his list.

The FB ones that annoy me the most are my older (30's) cousins that type these long status updates in text.  Dude, you have kids. Use words like an adult!
  • My jesus freak is my little sister. If I am in the mood to argue, I do, but we have a mutual friend who will always comment on her statuses, so I just let him have it sometimes. I love her, and Im glad she is apssionate about something, but some of the stuff she says makes me wonder..

  • Haha, my mom once sent me a chain mail thingie about how Germany was not going to teach about the holocaust in schools anymore and I sent her to snopes.com and I have not seen a single email like that since.

There is a fine line on fb between too much information that's boring and actually fun to read. My aunt (the same one) wrote a paragraph about how for Thanksgiving she was finally using the fine china from her first marriage that she'd never used (34 years later).

  • Thankfully most of my friends on Facebook who are religious aren't too terribly irritating about it; there was this one girl I used to work with who went kind of nuts about Jesus when she got married, and I hid her.

Hearing some of your stories, I'm really glad that most of the forwarded emails I get from my mom are of the LOLcat variety.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I love LOLcats. There is one of a cat chasing a deer and the title says "Biitch, get out my yawd!" One of my friends used to be really religious and she was engaged to someone who was not and they got in a huge argument because she said that Jesus had to be a huge part of his life and he wouldn't budge, They got married and I don't think she minds it anymore. But I was really hoping that she would back off on it because I don't really believe anymore.

  • What do you think of the website "Ashleymadison.com?" I just tried to go to it to see what it was, and work blocked it as "adult/pornography." But Google told me what it was and umm, eww. If you're going to be a sleazeball and cheat, can't you at least pick up someone at a bar instead of having to resort to the internet?

Would you blame the person who created the site or the person who cheated? Cheater, totally. I don't think the creator's necessarily got the best ethics, but it's a minor offense compared to cheating.

Do you have facebook? Yup, got it when it wasn't even at every college yet...I think UCLA was in the wave of schools that got it after the Ivies, and it was soooo cool.

What do you do with people who are annoying posters: block them, unfriend them, or ignore/hide them? If they're not actually friends (acquaintances who've added me over the years), I unfriend. But I also have a religious/super conservative friend, and I hide all his status updates because no, I do not want to be welcomed to my newsfeed by the photos of aborted fetuses that you've chosen to share with us in today's round of Obama-bashing (true story).
