Wedding Party

Weekend Plans?

What does everyone have planned for the weekend? Anything fun?

I am going to relax.  Last 2 weekends were extremely busy.   May go meet a friend for a beer here in a little bit.  And tomorrow is prom, so I think I will go to the Grand March to see all the kids all dressed up.

I am procrastinating getting ready to go out to a party. Ugh. I would rather go to bed. hehe.

    EDIT: Shrek 2 is on....Puss y boots!
  • Study group tomorrow morning Yell and lunch with friends on Sunday.  They are apparently taking me to a place that serves hotdogs and bratwursts made with snake, gator, pork, beef, or rabbit.  This should be interesting.  Thank goodness they have beer.  Oh, and I'll be sticking with the beef.

  • Currently eating Pizza Rolls and watching "The Men Who Stare At Goats" (Which I am finding amusing thus far) with DH.

I'm probably hanging out with my family tomorrow while DH is at work. Have no idea for Sunday at the moment.

That should be interesting!  I bought gator jerky when I went to Florida, but I never ate it.  I ate rattlesnake once, seriously, tasted like chicken.  (breaded & fried).  I haven't tried rabbit, I feel bad. They are so cute!

I'm ready! Have a good Friday night everyone! (making FI wait until the end of Shrek2)
  • CA2MT- I was raised in FL and there are a lot of people I know that eat gator tail (including my DH.  His father actually gator hunts during season).  I, however, don't even like pork or seafood.  This should be an interesting lunch!

  • xoxob- Dh and I just watched Shrek 2 on DVD tonight!  DH has been dying to see it since we saw the new Shrek preview!

I will be finishing my talk tomorrow and then heading for the Entomological Society of America meeting in Boise for the rest of the week.

Stina, I can't wait for Comicon!!! My friend got me a pass as long as I ghost write his article for him. Hehehe.

Jagore, let us know how the lunch with.

Emily, good luck with your 10K.

I have to go clean the apt. FI invited 6 people over for tacos tonight! All before I got out of bed. Sacastc jump for joy (although I love tacos).
  • I went out in North Dakota last night and there are not any smoking laws in the bars there.  I am all congested and feel like allergies today. Yuck!

  • DH planned a birthday party for me last night.  We met friends in New Haven for pizza which was OMFG awesome!!  Then we hung out at a local bar.

Tonight, we're going to have dinner with my 'rents for a post-birthday celebration since I haven't seen them yet.

Banana, where did you get pizza in New Haven?! I love New Haven pizza (or, I used to, before I got diagnosed with celiacs)

CA2MT, that sucks. When I was living in Berlin everyone smokes, everywhere! I was so happy to come back to anti-smoking in bar laws. FI's friend love going to this bar in their home town that allows smoking. My clothes will smell like smoke for days and it drives me bananas. I don't care that my friends smoke but it belongs outside!
  • We went to Modern!

Tonight we're off to dinner at Leon's.
  • When I moved to MT, people could smoke in bars, but soon after they passed a no-smoking law. It's much nicer to go out now.  I have to wash my coat and had to put that stuff in the first load of laundry today because it is stinky!  I wasn't used to this in CA, it has been non-smoking for many years.

  • Yesterday was my first trip to Renaissance Faire.  We arranged a girls' day because one of my friends was supposed to be getting married yesterday before her FI called it off.  So we got dressed up and dragged her out of the house and showed her a good time.  I was in a borrowed chemise and skirt and a fake corset that provided NO support.  I ended up getting fitted for a proper bodice because I was dying.  It was expensive, but good Faire garb is an investment, and FI did appreciate the cleavage it gave me.  Huzzah!

We were lazy as hell today.  We're getting some laundry done, but I'm just sitting here, catching up on my Knot, drinking some apricot ale, and watching Hell's Kitchen.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
