Need Wedding Cake Vendors suggestions

Hi Knotties

Anyone have any favorite or hands down great tasting cake vendors for a wedding cake in SA?

Along the topic of cakes does anyone feel guilty at the consulation when in your gut you are not going to do business with them. I went a consultation last week and I didn't like the cake so for me the consultation was over regardless what the cake was going to look like. I couldn't even lie and didn't compliment the cake.

Thanks
C. Martinez

Cake Creations in Pleasonton!! Cakes are awesome. I would recommend going to bridal shows or venue open houses which usually have cake tastings, and you can do your prelim decisions there. :)

I second Cake Creations.  We had a tasting with them last week.  All of the cakes were great.  We decided to go with: Groom's Cake - Carrot Cake, Bride's Cake - 2 tiers - Italian Cream & 1 tier vanilla with white chocolate & strawberry filling.  Would highly recommend.  The cakes were very tasty and the price was right!

I highly recommend BettyJane's Bake Shoppe. Hands down the best cake in SA.

We are doing the Ultimate Cheesecake Bakery.  He puts a lot of effort into the cake testing and every choice is delicious!  I think we are going with a vanilla cake and strawberry bavarian cream filling.  My fiancee wants cheesecake for his grooms cake so it works out perfectly!

We went with Seventh Heaven (seventhheavencakes.com)

The tasting went great and she is going to do our cake based on a drawing that I sketched myself. It's a 4 tiered cake to serve 160 for about $640 and we went with the cream cheese pound cake with Grand Marnier filling...but I think I'm going to make a tier in pink champagne...:)
