  • Where did you find your fg dresses? My mom made them from the material that I selected for the table cloths.
When was your first crush? Any details?I found out what the word crush was in 3rd grade and that day, I started liking someone. But my first real crush had to be in 6th grade. I told my mom who it was because she knew his mom, but told her not to tell anyone....and what did she do? She told his mom!!! I was so livid!
An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share: Most of my embarrassing stories have my mom in them....lol.
There was a mean guy in my band class that always picked on me hard core. I brought my bike to class and left it inside. When I came back, the air had been let out of the tires. My mom came in, saw, saw the boy smirk, and started going to town on his azz. I was mortified because she was yelling about air in bike tires (which is free) in front of everyone.

Where did you find your fg dresses?
Edit: Totally didnt read the question- my mom is making the FG dress. I found the Butterick pattern online.
When was your first crush? Any details?
First crush was preschool, my friend Moosie (Jonathan). I seen to remember some playing of doctor and patient under a picnic table. First real serious crush was my HS sweetheart, first love, now best friend, who is also named Jonathan, coincidentally.

Where did you find your fg dresses?  My mom actually found it.  It was an Easter dress on sale at I think Burlington Coat Factory.

When was your first crush? Any details? I was more the one encouraging other crushes than actually having one myself.  First one I can remember for sure was 6th grade when I moved and started a new school.

An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share: I hurdled in high school and one time in practice I wiped out while the entire boy's team was watching me.  Nobody was too surprised, though, as I tended to fall a lot while hurdling.

We didn't have FGs.  Easy Peasy :)

When was your first crush? Any details?
I don't remember my first.  I do remember that I had the biggest crush on this dude in 9th grade.  I was so over the moon for him.  I never worked up the courage to talk to him, and he wasn't in any of my classes in 10th.  I always wonder what would have happened if I'd had some balls.
An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share:
In junior high, I was sort of friends with this girl in chorus.  I saw her at her locker, and I walked up behind her and punched her on the arm (not hard) to say hi.  Except, when she turned around, it wasn't her.  I ran away.  The next day, I was walking down the hall, and she was standing in the same place with her friends.  She pointed and said "that's the girl that hit me!"
  • OMG MNIN, that would have been so embarrassing.....I know you know that. Funny to look back on it now.

  • Where did you find your fg dresses?  No flower girls.  Yay!

When was your first crush? Any details?  Fourth grade, I think.  It was a boy named David that I hung out with a lot.  I think we went to different junior highs.

An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share:  Nothing immediately comes to mind.  I've repressed just about everything before eighth grade.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Where did you find your fg dresses? No flower girls.

When was your first crush? Any details? This kid in my second grade class.  I crushed on him all the way until freshman year of high school.  He was kind of sketch, though, by 9th grade.

An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share: When I was a competitive figure skater, I was practicing a routine at the rink, when I turned to jump and leapt right out the door of the rink.  I landed on a bunch of college kids who were just about to come onto the ice (nobody was hurt, thank God).  They were so shocked that they just shoveled me back onto the ice.  My mother saw the whole thing, and laughed so hard she cried.  If we'd gotten that on film I'm sure we would have won something.

  • Ok, i have one now!
Freshman year of college I was rollerblading in the parking lot across the street from the dorm. I am not so good on skates, so my friends were already back at the dorm. There were guys fixing a car in the adjacent parking lot.

I hit a rock and fell HARD on my ass. I fell so hard I couldnt move for a little while. I took off the skates and tried to stand up, but I couldn't, so I CRAWLED all the way back across the street and into the dorm. My friends were looking out the window laughing. They did help me up, but all the guys in the parking lot had already seen me crawling across the street. Im sure they were amused. Shame on them for not coming to help me!

  • Where did you find your fg dresses? No FGs

When was your first crush? Any details? Pre-school. He was the only boy invited to my fifth birthday party...that must have been real fun for him.

An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share: How bout an embarrassing story about my first crush? We didn't go to school together after pre-school, but our parents stayed in touch since his dad's a golf pro at a course my parents sometimes played at. One day, when I was about 11, my mom and I were in the pro shop, and she covers my ears (full-on Old School "earmuffs" style) in order to tell this kid's dad about how when I was 4 I loved his son and wanted us to get married on horseback (we both went on to ride horses) at sunset. Except the earmuffs didn't work, so I heard everything and wanted to DIE.
  • FG? None
Crush? There was a cute boy in my second grade class. We got along great until he moved :(

Embarrasment! I am so clumsy that I have had more embarrassing moments than I can keep up with. On a side note: Baystate that is so funny. I used to ice skate too! Fortunately I don't have a story like that. Although my mom did make me pair up with my little brother for a pair routine. The routine? We were the Fox & the Hound...like the Disney movie. I was in 7th grade and it was so cutesy and embarrassing.
    Anniversary
  • Oh Suz, I can remember so many things that my mom made me do that I was too old to do but since I had 2 younger sisters, I had to.

She once threatened at the mall to spank me if I didn't take a picture with santa claus with my sisters. Right across the way was Wet Seal where all the popular girls happened to be shopping that day. So I had 2 bad choices....get spanked in front of everyone that mattered or take the photo and have everyone that was popular see...

    My mom totally blew...

Oh man, Suz...I bet in hindsight it's adorable but I'm sure you were dying at the time!

    ETA: Stina, that's horrific.

  • The worst part is that my mom denies it ever happening.....if you can imagine a middle aged chinese woman trying to deny this, it's hilarious....I wish my mom had an asian accent because it would be a better story!

  • Where did you find your fg dresses?  We never wound up finding dresses. Our imginary FGs were naked :(

When was your first crush? Any details? The boy next door (Typical, I know). We were neighbors since we were 5, and when we had First Communion together, everybody cooed about how "We looked just like a little bride and groom" (Which we both said "Ew! Gross!" at the time). In 5th grade, our school did Grease, I was Sandy, he was Danny ... I totally started to like him during that time. I proceeded to crush "on and off" in middle school I actually tried "confessing my love" at 8th grade graduation, total fail. The high school happened and I "fell in love" with somebody else, lol.

An embarrassing story from your youth that you'd like to share: Oh Stina, my mom embarrassed me constantly growing up! My older sister (Who's 2.5 years older) clearly never won any popularity contests. As bad as she is now, she was a million times worse in high school between puberty hormones and a bunch of changes to her meds ... so I got made fun of a lot just for being "the crazy girl's sister".

My mom basically wouldn't allow me to do anything in middle or high school (Except for the music and theatre stuff) unless my older sister could do it, too, and not feel "left out". So I missed out on a lot of dances and social events (Because my options where either not go, or "go and babysit my sister all night instead of actually talking to people"). A big part of why I wasn't "allowed" to date until I was 16 was my mom didn't want to deal with me having a boyfriend if my sister didn't ... she actually didn't let me get my driver's license until I was 19 because my sister had a license but my mom didn't want to "encourage" her to drive (Which, I have no clue how the hell she passed ... she is the worst driver on the planet), and she knew that if I got mine (Like a normal kid) that she'd have to let me drive, and then in turn, let my sister drive ... no wonder I'm such a mal-adjusted social retard. The only reason I even got my license at 19, was my ex took me to the DMV behind my mom's back so I could get it ... that was the one decent thing he ever did for me.

Which, I know that makes my mom sound awful, my mom actually is a great person, she just kind of expected me to "be a grown up" that understood that my sister wasn't dealt a fair hand, and that she needed some compassion. I, on the other hand, was 15 and wanted to be a "normal teenager", lol.
