I thought it was a bridesmaid's tradition to hate the dress?  Tell your "difficult" friend that if she doesn't like the dress, you all are just helping her fulfill that part of the job.   

Is there a chance that your picky friend is saying no to all of the dresses because they're out of her price range?  Ask her if something else if going on.

If you really want everyone to wear the same dress, you might be more successful if you pick a number of dresses then send their pictures to all of your bridesmaids and let them vote.  I can't imagine getting 6 women to agree on one dress during one shopping expedition.

I understand your FI wanting everyone dressed the same. My FI was the same way. I disagreed with him and told him about body types, etc. He eventually saw the light. However, I showed him two options that would meet his "same" requirement and my desire for the BMs to be happy.:
1. David's Bridal Mix-and-Match. You can specify ONE color, tell them to get the same skirt, and then let them choose the most flattering top.
2. A Convertible dress. Victoria Secret has them. My BMs are wearing Butter by Nadia. Same color (dyed from the same batch), same length (floor or tea), but they can wrap the top to fit however they want it to fit. The convertible dress is one size fits all (2-16) so if they gain/lose weight, it will still fit come wedding day.
