Wedding Party

Transportation

I am trying to figure out what to do for transportation for my wedding party. I don't want to use a limo. I thought maybe about a trolley, but they are just expensive. Any ideas?

Re: Transportation

  • We just had our BP carpool together or drive themselves.

  • Do you mean that you want something more cost-effective, or that you want something more "unique" than a limo?

<div>This made me laugh. Yeah, i wonder....you want something CHEAPER than a trolley and more unique than a limo? Horse drawn carriage? Magic carpet? Huge slip and slide?</div><div>
</div><div>Ok, all laughing aside, you really should just carpool. We did this. It was great....and we saved a crapload of money.</div>

    Dear diary,
Today Stina on TK gave me the greatest idea for wedding day transportation. Can't wait! Hope the police will stop traffic on the roads between church and reception venue. They should. It's my wedding day!
    Love,
    Licia

Our transportation to the reception was actually cheaper than a trolley would've cost us, and it was a little more unique than a regular limo :P

Although it <strong>DID</strong> break down while we were at a park taking pictures. But then we had an Escalade limo come pick us up. This princess had THREE limos on her wedding day! *shines nails on shirt*

I'm just wondering if OP wants an alternative to a limo because of cost reasons, or because she wants something other than a limo.

  • Licia, since she's trying to save money, she should just steal some construction site cones and lay them out on the way down.....cuz you know that drivers will totally stop for a traffic cone.

  • Bahaha...4 months from now I'm going to post "Wedding Party Dilemma" and inside it will detail how my MOH is such a biyotch because she won't do anything I ask her to do, like ride to the reception on a slip and slide.

Well, you guys don't even know my pain. All of my friends are telling me I'm being a bridezilla because I want them to learn how to unicycle while juggling three bouquets, wearing their dress and having a Parrot on their shoulders!

But, it's MY day. MY unique snowflake wedding.

  • You need to tell them to suck it up. For realz. This is your day!

  • I would just do the limo. Why are you against it?
  • How will they feed the parrot if they're only juggling bouquets?  Shoudln't the juggle crackers along with the bouquets?

OMG! Gotta, you are so smart. I didn't even think of that! They should be juggling bouquets made of crackers! Then, the parrots can sing for me while I walk down the aisle.
  • Just be sure to get some food coloring.  Those crackers can't be bought in your wedding colors, you know!

    That is my BMs jobs.
  • Make sure you put it in the contract.  Then they have to do it.  And if they don't, you have legal grounds to give them the boot.
