Wedding Party Gifts

We are considering a beer of the month club membership as a gift for one of the groomsmen.  He really likes microbrews and goes to local breweries a lot, so we are thinking that one of the beer clubs would be a nice gift.  We have no experience with any of these types of clubs, though.  I searched online and found a few that looked decent, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one or let me know of any bad experiences so we can steer clear of those.  I was browsing on www.greatclubs.com. Has anyone given or received anything like this as a gift before?

In my searches, I also came across a bunch of other "of the month" type clubs.  One was a chocolate of the month club, which sounds fantastic, but I wasn't able to find many reviews.  FI's grandma has a big sweet tooth, so this would be great for her as long as the chocolates are yummy.  He was raised by her, so this would basically be a parent gift for the wedding, along with a gift card to a gardening store.  Gardening is her favorite hobby.  Anyone have any experience with a chocolate club like this?

I know FI looked at a couple of "of the month" clubs for his GM, but he found that they were just crazy expensive.  If you can't find one you're comfortable with, perhaps you guys can set him up with something special at one of his favorite breweries.  FI loves the Stone brewery and would be totally thrilled to get a gift certificate to use there, so he could buy some merchandise, eat at their awesome restaurant (which we usually avoid because it's a bit pricey), or just stock up on beer.

Thank you, aerin.  Yeah, the month clubs are pretty expensive, but we found a few that will let you do a portion of a year instead of a whole year.  We could afford to do that.  We didn't even think of gift cards to the local breweries.  Thank you!
