So FI and I had just gone to bed last night, around 9:00 or so. (Which is late for us. God, that's sad.) His phone rings, and I sit BOLT upright in bed. He answers the phone, assures the caller that he didn't wake us, and goes out in the living room to talk. I correctly deduce that it was the best man calling.
Apparently he hasn't been returning FI's calls because he's been working very long hours and running all over the place (he does house painting and some other odd jobs). No explanation for why he and his wife totally stood FI up four months ago, but he is coming to the wedding, and apparently they're cool again.
Sheesh. And they say girls are dramatic.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married.
