bridal party or not?

So my future hubby and i at first were going to have a hometown wedding.. asked our bridal party and started planning.. then realized its totally not what we wanted. So we decided to go to Vegas to get married. Since its Vegas and now we have to travel everyone in our bridal except my Moh and His best man said they cannot commit to be even able to go until like the month before what should we do? Do we just stick with an Moh and BM? If so do we tell the other people we had already asked or explain to them we are only having the two since they cannot commit? I mean outfits for both sides need to be bought and things need to be preped for..... Adivce please:)

Yes i totally agree with you... BUT... the Moh and the best have already boughten there dress and tux. Plus custom converse have been ordered for the four of us that have commited.

Since the ones who have already ordered their outfits are the best man and MOH, why not do as Stage suggested for the remainder of the party? And skip the Converse for them and just have you and your honor attendants stand out. (I agree though, that they're overdone and I just think they look silly with formalwear, but as long as you're paying for them, do what you like)

You're really making this more about the clothes than the people involved, who I am assuming are your friends. Please be more accomodating of them, because I'm sure they really want to be there at your wedding to stand up for you.

It's not their fault that they can't commit. You and your FI asked them before you made solid plans, and then you changed the plans drastically. You should have waited until you had firm wedding plans to ask them to be in it ... but that ship has sailed. The nice thing to do would be to either pay for the attire you want them to wear, or to let them wear anything in your color scheme like any black dress or suit. Again, since this situation is in no way their fault. If you prefer to tell them that you only want people who can commit to this new plan and can get the specific clothes you want them to wear .. then Go ahead and tell them that they cannot be in the bridal party anymore. But don't be surprised if it causes hurt feelings and possibly damages or destroys your friendship with them. Why are they wearing sneakers with stuff drawn all over them?

My FI is a tattoo artist so therefore he is doing our shoes.. here in california its pretty common.. we love day of dead so they are kinds themed that way

I def want them to be able to stand with us if they can come... i think the moh and best man can stick with there outfits and go simple for the groomsmen.. and black dresses for the maids

That sounds very fair.

If you have the budget, I'd try to help them out a bit with expenses if you possibly can.
