**banana** or anyone with the answer

I just received an instant message through the knot from some other knottie. How did she do that? I can't figure it out.

  • Try the left side of the message boards under 'private messages'.  You can check that like you would an email.
  • So I have a question: I just clicked mine and had a couple PMs from like a month ago that I never noticed.  Is there a way to find out more quickly, or do I just have to check the PMs regularly?

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
  • You just need to check it regularly.  Think of it as an additional email account.
  • I remember reading at some point that they were going to set up email alerts for them at some point.  Is that still the plan?
  • Holy crap I had two messages sitting in my inbox!  I didn't even realize it worked like that.  Yeah, it would really be nice to have some sort of e-mail notifications, or even a little number popping up beside the "private messages" link to tell you how many you have.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I know there were supposed to be email alerts about a watched thread but I'm not sure about the PMs.  In the meantime, just check it like an email addy.
