Bridesmaid dress nightmare!

My girls dresses are supposed to be royal blue! They aren't! What we did was cut our losses and went ahead and bought all black strapless dresses for them at White House Black Market. Now I'm freaking out because my wedding is next month and my girls are wearing black. My wedding is formal but they were supposed to hold orange and white gerberas, blue hydrangas and tropical folded leaves for their bouquets and now I am thinking its going to look way too halloween/fall like! Please leave me your opinion...are these colors way too out of reach for summer?!

Sweetie.  It's ok.  They will look great.  My girls were also supposed to be in blue but we couldn't find a blue that looked good on them.  The black will be elegant.  I doubt anyone will be thinking halloween unless you give that impression in other ways.

I think it will look beautiful.  As long as you are using your colors in other aspects of the wedding and keep the black in the attire it won't look like black is one of your colors at all.  Everyone knew our colors were blue and cream with pale green accents.  No one thought our color was black.

Actually our moms both wore black or black and white.  Everyone involved except me was in black.  It really looked elegant.

The orange sounds bright and cheerful to me, not fall and halloween.  Just stay away from yellows, reds and browns and you won't look fall at all. :)

Black is the new IN color for weddings. Little did you know you were being posh!! :) And I think black goes with every color. I think the blue will offset the orange, because just the orange and black would look kinda halloweenish.

Look at you.. trend setter!! :)

You have up until 2 weeks to the wedding to change your flowers with Erin if you are still concerned about the colors. Email her and she will help you out. She is great!

You could always switch out the orange for another color.  Just an idea. :)

True, maybe through in coral instead of orange to keep it tropical? Thanks again :)
