MOH drama?

So my MOH just wrote me an email, and said her bf's family invited her to go on a cruise the day after our wedding. She said she wanted to check with me before she said yes. Then she asked if we had anything going on that day.My mom is hosting a brunch that day for our bridal party and out of town guests. It would be nice if she was there. 

But that wasn't the only part. Her bf is leaving the wedding a little early for this trip, and she said she would stay as long as I need her. I was a little hurt, and upset by this. Am I over-reacting? She hasn't decided anything yet, bc she wanted to talk to me.

Yes you're over reacting. She didn't even have to ask you how you felt about her going the day after; she isn't ditching your wedding so you shouldn't complain at all.

It would be nice for you if she was there for the brunch, but wouldn't it be nice for her if she were on a cruise?

Would you turn down a nice cruise for a brunch? And why are you hurt that her bf is leaving early, if she offered to stay as late as you need?

Yes, I think you're over-reacting.  She went above and beyond by checking with you before she said yes to the cruise invite.  It would be awful if she were not able to go on this cruise because you required her to be at the post-wedding brunch.   Once she gets through the ceremony and gives a speech (if she wants to) she has fulfilled her "duties" as MOH.
