***Mel*** (and all other interested parties)

Pronunciation key:

Man (MAHN) wai (why) thi (thee) el (el)

It's JRR Tolkien Elvish for 'kathryn'. It's actually spelled Manwathiel but I added an extra 'i' after the second 'a' to give it some distinction between everyone else using it on Tolkien forums. =)

I guess that's better than how I said it in my head: Man-what-the-hell.  :-)

See...that's why I just go with Manwa....all the other syllables get mixed up in my brain. :-) Thanks for the explanation!

I've always pronounced it as man-with-all.  haha. I have no clue why, that's just what my mind made of all of it. :)

Oh, and not that this has anything to do with anything, but every year around Christmas, H and I have a LOTR marathon and watch all three of the movies...the extended versions.

Frogurt, I have an LOTR obsession, bordering on crazy. I could tell you things about the world of Middle Earth starting with the First age.

Brooke, you should totally make an AE with that...not that it would make much sense since we would know who it was now, but whatevs.

I'd like to think I'm not crazy enough to create an AE.

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.

But think of all the fun you could have...you could go around telling us things about ourselves and we'd be like "Who are you newb?? How do you know so much??"

Or you could post about having pseudo bridesmaids because everyone wants to be a part of your wedding and watch all our frenzied responses. That seems to amuse people.

Confession: all of my computers have been named after LOTR characters, and most of my passwords are in Elvish.  I knew Tengwar in high school, and it is insanely conducive to free writing.  I used to cover pages and pages with stream of consciousness stuff.

I love how nerdy y'all are.  Makes me feel right at home.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Oh my gosh, Aerin. We need to meet. Is it hard to learn Tengwar? I always wanted to learn...

Most of my passwords and stuff are LOTR related, but abstract crap that no one would think about (I'm not about to use Frodo Baggins or something like that)

That's better, then.  "Man with eel" sounded like an obscure yoga pose which would probably make me feel insecure about my own bendiness.

I love that there are so many other geeks on here.  Makes me feel good about myself, and less weird about those elf ears that I bought for Todd.
