  • One thing you like about yourself: I like my sense of humor
One thing you LOVE about yourself: I love my legs, even though they're short.
    Favorite Christmas song: Sleigh Ride
A compliment for a knottie on this board: Banana, I think you're doing a smashing job as the MOD here. It's been really quiet and everyone is pretty cordial to everyone. What did you DO?! lol

  • One thing you like about yourself: my eyes

One thing you LOVE about yourself: my calves...thank you, half marathon! (and I'm not that shallow, just thought it was easier to do two physical things)

Favorite Christmas song: All I Want for Christmas is You, hands down

A compliment for a knottie on this board: Stina, I love WPBP! Great idea for coming up with it, and you're seriously creative to think of all of these questions every day.
  • Thank you Emily for actually filling this one out today....I feel like people don't want to touch it with a ten foot pole because we have to compliment others....lol

    Here's another...

Emily, I love how you give us all the South American perspective...and you manage to be on here a lot. I still want to know more about you though....

Larissa, I love how you're not afraid to speak your mind. I love reading your posts because they're filled with authority and attitude. They always make me laugh.

  • One thing I like: My collarbone

One thing I love: My determination

Favorite Christmas Song: Christmas in Killarney

Compliment: I don't post here a ton, but I think all the regulars here are very consistent with their advice and respond based on the circumstance, not based on the poster--everyone gets the same, reasonable advice.

  • One thing you like about yourself:  My loyalty.

One thing you LOVE about yourself:  My ability to laugh at myself.  (or maybe this should be reversed with the "like" response)

Favorite Christmas song:  The Barenaked Ladies/Sarah McLachlan version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

A compliment for a knottie on this board:  I have a few - Banana, I think you're an excellent mod and truly reasonable and diplomatic person.  Meg, I love that you can be open about really personal family crap.  Stina, I appreciate someone who's as straightforward as I am.  And in general regarding everyone, I find it refreshing that we seem to have a really bright bunch in these parts.  It's against the internet odds, really.
  • One thing you like about yourself: My eyes: they're blue/gray depends on my mood or outfit ... but they're deep set like a gypsy. I've been asked on quite a few occasions if I wear contacts (I don't) because apparently my eyes have more of a "dark" shape.

One thing you LOVE about yourself: I'm secure enough to admit I'm not perfect and I will actually "work" on myself: I highlight the crap out of my hair, I wear make-up everyday, I wear a hair piece to fancier occasions, I don't own a bra that isn't a push-up. And I look good, dammit.

Favorite Christmas song: "Carol of The Bells"

A compliment for a knottie on this board: I know this sounds like a cop-out, but I have a lot of love for the regs on this board. Banana, Stina, Larissa, Aerin, Stage, Tide, Brooke ... (Have I left anybody out?) I know the big boards get clique-ish, but since day 1 you guys have all been awesome to me. And I do know that it's not because there's instant-love for newbies around here, but because you guys actually do take the time to see what people have to say before deciding whether to love or hate. Ok, Banana's not really allowed to play favorites, but the rest of you are. So it really made me feel good from the get-go to be received with an open mind to what I had to say.

  • Here are some more....

Meg- I can't wait to meet you....because I love Atlantic City. You are so funny. Your Trex bride badge always makes me smile and yes, you have class.

Brooke0- I know she's not here, but she was the first knottie to really knock sense into me and teach me how to be a great bride. It's all because of her.

Stage- I really look up to her. She is also not on right now.....I feel like she was protecting me because originally, my username was my email address. And she loves theater so I automatically like her!

  • Grr.. I was stuck in a meeting so im late on this one:

One thing you like about yourself:
My long dark eyelashes. Thanks Dad!

One thing you LOVE about yourself:
I have the ability to love completely and passionately despite not having the best history in that department. I love that I am good at loving others, even when its difficult

    Favorite Christmas song:

    does Pachabel's Canon count?

A compliment for a knottie on this board:

Meg, I love your candid advice and willingness to air your issues (sister stuff) to help others. And I appreciate all of the regs on this board for being able to state on opinion while keeping in mind that it is an opinion and that what works in your mind, region, circle of friends, etc, may not work everwhere. I appreciate that I can come here and see a heated debate that doesn't turn into a flame-fest. The emotional intelligence level of this board is higher than any other board I have encountered.

  • For starters, Banana-you are a bad-ass mod. Everytime somebody cries "foul" around here, you always come to the rescue to right the wrongs. If somebody is out of line, you let them know, and if somebody's just whining "you're meanies!" for no reason, you also nip that nonsense in the bud. Plus, you're advice is incredibly diplomatic and fair.

Brooke-I honestly wish you were around lately, because I'm sure you'd have really good "How to get through the wedding without murdering your sisters" advice, seeing it as you've had the "worst MOH ever". You have no problem telling people what's what without pulling any punches ... and you don't waste words doing it (Unlike me, lol).

Stage and Tide-Also absent recently (Apparently leaving me with soul custody of The Brain), between here and Etiquette you both definitely had a lot to do with me "loosening up" on the boards. You guys(whether you meant to or not) encouraged me to have a sense of humor and give real advice every time, instead of avoiding a topic just because I couldn't give the "puppies and rainbows" response.

Aerin-unless we get some more regs soon (Which I've noticed Sarah and Emily coming around a lot, so we're not a totally dying breed)), you're the only other "unmarried" around here that talks sense (And you most likely know who I'm talking about). It's been awesome "working" with you, because I know that newbies don't always like talking to the marrieds (How often do we see "Well, you're married already, why the hell are you still posting?") and I totally love that you're also a Disney freak and a gamer. Every time the ceremony music question comes up anywhere, for some reason it always makes me giggle that somebody else is using Final Fantasy music: for that I owe you a tip of the hat, miss.

Larissa-I love the way you don't dance around an issue. You also are a great "listener". Your advice always seems to be based on the entirety of a post, and not just pick apart sections you disagree with. You have a minimal tolerance for beebee whining and are quick to helm with a "come to Jesus" talk when one is needed. Plus, I totally loved your little siggy pic rampage you went on for the P&E when P2 started complaining regularly about it. I'm pretty sure I can thank your  Romainian-ness for that (My Trans genes have made me quite spiteful, lol, so I can relate).

And Stina-I also can't wait to meet you. I absolutely love your sass! I can't tell you how many times I've read your response to a "waaaah" post and think "Omg, I was thinking the same thing!". Every time I post something and I fear I may have gone "too far", you zip right in with something that backs me up. I also have love for the polls. I actually have found myself missing them on the few days that were missed for some reason.

Oh, and I want to thank anybody who appreciates my openess. I know I've had my share of drama in life. And everything I've been through has helped me become who I am (And has had a big part of my sense of humor-the best defense mechanism).

I figure if I share, there might be somebody out there it might help. Whether it lets them know they aren't alone on something or if it just helps put something into perspective for them. Like people who get mad that their sisters aren't throwing extravagant showers for them or something. Clearly, I've got bigger things to worry about with all of my older sisters issues, ya know? Or if after my wedding somebody else comes along because one of her BMs refuses to try on the damn dress, I [hopefully] will have something productive to say to them.

There aren't too many details of my life that I'm ashamed of sharing (And what I don't want to share, I don't put out there). I truly believe that the boards are here so people can get useful advice, and if what I went through can help somebody even the slightest bit, then I want to be able to do so.

One thing you like about yourself:
I like the fact that I can cook. Most of my friends are TERRIBLE at it, and it just makes me feel good that I can (usually) make some pretty good meals.

One thing you LOVE about yourself:I love my eyes. They are almost black, and everyone always tells me that they are "soulful" and I really love that.

Favorite Christmas song: Santa Baby, i don't know why, but I have loved that one since I was a kid.

A compliment for a knottie on this board:
I am still fairly new, but I love posting on this board. I like the regulars and too, feel like the advice here is good. I find you guys are very fair, and that in most cases meg, stina, banana, and brooke (and others) have the same views I do.

And Meg- I love that you are going to WDW for your honeymoon, because I am 99% sure that is what we are doing too.

Banana- I love the pic in your sig, its really pretty, and your H reminds me of someone famous, but I can't place who it is.

  • Aww you guys, I like you a lot. And I definitely agree that people on here seem to be like cool, smart women - not always easy to find in real life, and even harder to find on the internet!

Stina, please don't tell my boss how much I'm on here :) But ask away if you want to know anything in particular
