For my "wedding," I will only be doing the big banquet dinner, and I have been thinking about the music. Would it be totally crazy to just get a playlist together on my iPod and see if I could get the restaurant to play it throughout the evening? My family is Chinese from Vietnam, fiance is Japanese, and my best language is definitely English. I want some songs from each language. I have a list of English and Japanese songs I like, but I know nothing about Vietnamese or Chinese music. Does anyone have any popular Vietnamese/Chinese songs or artists to recommend (stuff that would be good for a wedding, of course)? For the Chinese, both Mandarin and Cantonese would be fine. I would ask my mom, but she isn't really into Vietnamese or Chinese popular culture anymore. If you have any ideas, please share! Or if anyone knows any sites where I could listen and browse (e.g., with translations), that would be great too. Here's a site for anyone who likes Japanese music.
