5150 Productions

I am wondering if anyone has used 5150 Productions for the DJ at the ceremony/reception?  Any reviews would be helpful.

Thanks!

No I haven't seen them-- but I did price them, and they are REALLY expensive. You can find the same quality for much cheaper. They come recommeded by a certain Venue who says they offer a discount, which still puts you at almost 1000 dollars for them. You can find some who are much cheaper for the same service.

One of the best DJs in town. You get what you pay for. You might also want to check with Future Sounds and Complete Music also excellent DJs.

I've worked with 5150, and they are definitely worth the money. I agree...you get what you pay for!

A wedding I am photographing next weekend are using them, I will let you know afterwards...  I will tell you that a good (or bad) DJ can totally set the mood for the evening.  I have been at weddings were the DJ was phenomenal and some where they were horrible.  You will get better photos (because people are having a good time and not sneaking out) and have a better evening.  I cannot stress the importance of finding a good DJ...

BTW I thought Holtz Entertainment did a great job (and I've done two weddings with him)

  • We just used 5150 for our wedding last weekend and it was totally worth the extra money. Phil is one of a kind and will make your wedding exactly how you want it. To be honest, I was in your same boat about the money, but he was blindly recommended to us as "the best in town" by the hotel's director of catering, our photographer, another venue's event director, and our photobooth vendor. Each totally seperate recommendations and all said he was the best as a response to "do you know a good DJ". Phil's sound system was top notch, he has a polished DJ voice, he is not abnoxious like many DJs, and he was flexible and easy to work with. He was 5 out of 5 stars and I would recommend him hands-down.
