what do you think

http://www.newketubah.com/collections.htmlI love the sunburst one -- but do you think it is just too simple.  I feel like so many of my friends have the same kettubah or a similar style, i thought this was cool and different and yellow is my favorite color.  Is it too simple?  Too expensive -- not sure what the going rate is

I like it a lot!  you should totally do what you both love.  you'll be looking at it for a long time lol our ketubah is also pretty simple, although it's a more traditional style.  It cost more than other printed ketubah in the shop b/c ours had a lot of paper laser-cuts.  I like the lace effect of the cut outs.  I think ours is about $350.00, so maybe it's more expensive than a lot of the others I saw, but not out of line IMO.

Unless you happen to like one of the ketubot on eBay or have an artistic friend willing to help, you're probably going to have to pay at least $250 for anything more than the simplest ketubah.  Yours may be a little above average for a noncustom ketubah.  However, as the PP said, you are the ones who will have to live with it for the rest of your lives.  In my mind, it's even more important than the photos, which may get tucked away in a drawer somewhere, since it will be on display. We spent a long time deciding on ours.  There was one piece of artwork both of us really liked.  However, it had no same-sex text, other than one that just had the names and date in Hebrew and everything else in English.  A custom text was an additional $250, beyond the $250 normal cost of the ketubah.  However, we finally decided that it was one thing we were willing to splurge on.

Oh, and when comparing costs, remember that a lot of places will charge you extra for personalization, which that site does not.  Considering that, the cost is not that much more than other places.
