Crowning the parents?

I've been trying to find information on this tradition.  I'm the last child in my family to get married and someone told me I'm supposed to crown my parents.  I'm still not sure I'm going to do it but does anyone know where I can get more information on it?

I just saw photos from a wedding that they did this. I don't know anything about it though! I'm curious to know too :)

Hi!This is called the krenzel (which means crown), you dance the mezinke in honor of the last child getting married. I did it for my mom and bubbe (I have a half-sister so I am not my dad's last kid). We ordered floral crowns for them to wear and they sat in chairs and everyone danced around them -- and the immediate family and close friends kissed them as they went around. Anita Diamant's New Jewish Wedding (aka the Jewish bride's bible) has some good info on it.

you might want to talk to your band/DJ and florist about this. my band has done one, so they are taking the lead.
