My breaking glass was from a judaica store and was part of the Shardz collection. After the wedding, it was used in the base of a kiddush cup. My two kiddush cups were both sentimental. One is the cup that my great grandfather, and everyone since then, uses to make kiddush on Pesach, and the other was a silver kiddush cup that my grandfather, other side of the family, brought from Europe and made kiddush with every Shabbos.
Our kiddush cup was our "something borrowed"; it was borrowed from a recently married friend. The glass for breaking was from a local Jewish store. A picture of it is shown below (the blue freckled one). The good news is, there was enough glass in it to make a fused glass mezuzah from the shards afterward. The bad news is, that sucker was tough to break! There was a time during the ceremony when I feared we were going to have to drop it out the window to get it broken.
Our breaking glass was a small light bulb wrapped in a napkin. Since there are no family heirloom kiddush cups, one was supplied by the rabbi. The other was a gift, from the Spode judaica collection.

No heirlooms here either, and no one really who's had the best luck in marriage that I'd want to borrow the kiddush cup, so we are just going to buy two. The glass I will also purchase from online but am not plannning on doing anything with the pieces after the fact.
