My dad likes to connect with people on different levels about Jewdism. For myself it was reading a chapter a day from a book called "
The Book of Abraham".
Jordan has a passion for food (He an Executive Chef/ General Manger) so it was only natural that my dad gave him the dietary tradition and pos challenges on taking those key ingredients and turning them into something new.
Well when my dad went to look for kosher cookbooks he noticed that " The Spice and Spirit of Kosher-Jewish Cooking" was missing and he was puzzled where it went because he wanted to share it with Jordan. I asked why that one cookbook over all others was important to find since we had so many.
That cookbook has been in their collection all 26 years of their marriage. That book is just one of many important heirlooms.
I just look over at Jordan's bookcase and found the book. I'm not sure I should bring it home or as my family would say " use it in good health"?????
Jordan is up to something for Thanksgiving and I don't think it is just brining a turkey (22lb bird is unreal even for 7 people )..... My parents are up to something because my mom said she and dad got us something very special for December that we both can use.
Still not officially engaged ( dont expect to be til after December anyway) but it is so weird my parents are now talking to people about Jordan as " our future son in law" They have known from the get go that he the one and the future plans but to hear them say to others " This is our future son in law" is just unreal.
