Judaica registry?

Has anyone registered for Judaica items (Seder plate, mezuzah, etc.) online?  What website(s) did you use/would you recommend?  We are planning our wedding from a distance, and having trouble figuring out the best way to register for these items when there aren't really any "chain" Judaica stores people can go to!  Thanks! Smile

We registered at Judaica.com. What I think are reasonable prices and a nice selection.

Hi, Tara!!!! Your screen name totally gave you away...lol. We registered at the synagogue gift shop (since my grandma runs it), but you can always do it online. I would go to that Judaic store in Toco Hills and look at stuff in person before deciding what you want.
The Knot won't share my Bump Siggy, so here's the low-down: 4/27/07 - Got engaged! 8/31/08 - Got married (to my best friend)! 12/30/08 - Got Pregnant! 9/3/09 - Welcome to the world, Elias Solomon! 8/16/10 - Got Pregnant, again! 5/14/11 - Welcome to the world, Talia Hadassah! 1/14/12 - Ready or not, here comes #3 (EDD 9/27/12)

Haha, thanks Shosh.  I would say that picture of E in your signature gave you away, but I already found you on here months ago Wink

Yeah, unfortunately we don't have a synagogue gift shop to register at, so if we want people from all over the country to be able to get us stuff if they want, we kind of have to do it online.  Good idea to go look at stuff in a store first though, I think we'll try to do that this weekend!

Sari - thanks for the tip!  We had looked at judaica.com, but it's so hard to tell if websites are really legit or not, so I wanted to get some input before we decided.  Have you gotten any of the stuff you registered for on there yet?

Rachiemoo - I haven't looked at alljudaica.com, I'll have to go check it out!  Did you have a good experience with them?

I actually discovered yesterday that Bed Bath and Beyond has a small judaica section on their registry website.  I registered for a gorgeous seder plate and a menorah.  Not a huge selection, but  this might be an option.

Our main registry is through Amazon, and it has a universal feature so that you can go to any website and upload gifts to our Amazon registry.  I have a few things from judaica.com, as well as a few others.  But so far, only one person has gotten us any judaica - dunno why, so looks like we'll be buying lots of stuff on our own after the day....

We found some items at Bloomingdales. Some of our Judaica was given without us registering for it. We exchanged a challah board (because we already had one) for a miriam's cup and Elijah cup.

I believe Target.com has a selection of Judaica on their website that is not available in stores.  I didn't register for any judaica for my wedding, but I did purchase my first seder plate this year at Target and I love it waaaaay more than the fancy one my FMIL gave to us for Passover.  Have fun registering!

I had the same question a few months ago. I went with http://www.traditionsjewishgifts.com/

I've been to their real store in Florida and it is very well stocked, also the staff are very friendly. They have a great online selection and very easy to use registry too!

We're also registering at synagogue guest shops at two synagogues my family belong to in town.

Kolbo is a beautiful place too! They didn't have exactly what I wanted, but the in person store in Boston is fab! http://kolbo.com/

Tara - yes, your SN definitely gave you away.  I can't help you with finding a place to register, since Ben and I are having the opposite problem - Ben's gma is determined for us to find things we want in the gift shop but we already have tons of stuff! Just wanted to say hi :)

Thanks for all the suggestions, they were really helpful!  I think we've decided on a site to use now.

Hi Ciara!  Your sn kind of gives you away too (although I suppose there could be other Ciaras out there, it's not exactly the most common name Wink).
