sushi or raw bar

Do people prefer sushi or raw bar at cocktail hour. Fot sushi how many pieces per person is enough if we are also having 10 passed hour'derves and no stations?

Re: sushi or raw bar

  • Unless you are having a kosher reception I don't really think it matters per se.

Personally I would do a sushi bar because I think more people like sushi rather than the options at a raw bar but it probably depends more on your crowd.

  • I'd do sushi.  I think your caterer would probably have a good idea of how many pieces per person.

  • Yes, raw bar is shell fish but our wedding is not kosher. Alot of NYC Jewish wedding I have been to are not kosher and have raw bar. There will be no kosher guests at our wedding.
  • I think sushi is more universal.
